Can't really rate it because it was not open. They are temporarily closed, but another company bought them out and was going to reopen. What is dying to try her reputation was good but let's see what the new owners do.

This place is a hidden gem. The staff has always done so much with so little support from their owner. But good news they just got purchased by a great group of folks. The food is fantastic. I know that chef has been there 20 years at the least. The tomato basil soup is absolutely incredible get a loaf of bread or bruschetta and you won’t need anything else.I just wish I could have gotten there before they closed for remodeling. I’m going to have to wait 3 months for their reopening.

Awful experienceFreezing cold insideWaited 45 minutes for mediocrity on the plate. The staff didn't seem to care and no apology. Sad that good restaurants cannot deliver quality. I'm sick 2 days now!

The Italian food deserves 5 stars. Had spaghetti with meatballs; loved the sauce, texture of the meatballs & the pasta. But it is very hard for me to get past the appearance of the exterior, interior, bathroom, ceilings, etc., etc. Margie’s has been there since 1953 and people rave about it, the food makes it worthwhile; I start feeling itchy when I walk in; have to worry about dust falling from the vents; wonder if I’ll catch anything using the restroom. C’MON MAN PUT A FEW BUCKS INTO AN UPGRADE. The environment needs to come closer to the quality of the meals. Thanks

I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for small businesses. However, we were not impressed or even satisfied on a mediocre level. We visited on a Friday evening, and immediately walking up to the door, it looks sketchy because its a door for a house but it looks very beat up. Upon entering it's VERY dark environment, you wait to be sat at either a booth or table. We were sat in the seating area in front of the bar. They do leave a candle on the table to set the mood (I'm guessing), but it's so dark you have to use your phone to see the menu. It's very quiet and music only plays if you play a song from the juke box, and it sounds terrible like an older dated sound system. We were really close to one of the speakers. The wine tasted cheap, and for $7 per glass I was disappointed. Then I tried to give them the benefit of doubt with the food but everything was bad. The cheesesticks were flavorless, then our salads tasted old, especially the onions as if they were left in the fridge exposed and uncovered, then my manicotti was also flavorless other than the meat in the sauce. My husband ordered the Alfredo Carbonara and it was pretty good, hence why I left three stars. I'm very disappointed in the experience we had here. The service staff are nice, but our server didn't really keep up with us and it was not busy at all.Come at your own risk. They need one of those bar rehab shows or something because this place has so much potential, but they're just not living up to it.Kid-friendliness: There were children here, crying loudly.

Went for a friend's birthday dinner they gave the option to serve one set plate or 2 because faster service I believe. they chose open menu since so many hadn't ate there and we all ordered all over the menu and they did such a great job amd handled it with grace the garlic bread is so good along with the lobster cheese appetizer

I had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken parmesan, and my partner had the spaghetti with meat sauce. The food was exquisite, and Emma was a top notch server. Definitely going back!

Very dark inside but a good Olde World atmosphere. Good food. The Chicken Jerusalem was awesome. So is the house salad.

Holy Cannoli! My boss recommended this place to me and I’m so glad she did … Margie’s is hands down the best Italian in Fort Worth! We got lasagna and chicken Parmesan and a crab claws appetizer …. We ran out of room for dessert but will try the tiramisu next time :) also Kylee is a great/fun server. Thanks y’all, we’ll be back in a few weeks!

Called and ordered carry out they said it would be 20 minutes get there 30 minutes later our order was never written down. So we put in our order AGAIN, wait there 40 minutes and they give our order to someone else. Consider your time before going there. Management seems to be a mess and tan by teenagers. Disappointing because we’ve wanted to try this place for a while.
