When I was at the drive thrue, roughly 11- 11:20 pm on Tues 21st of January. An elderly homeless chap came up and startled me, I told him to get away from my truck. I did not say or act that way because he is homeless, or I think I'm better than him or above him. I just dont like it when people walk on up to my vehicle and / or startle me, and especially in the drive-thru.
You see, growing up, my father, who I call dad, he asked me one sunday morning as we were getting out of the car to head up to our church Harvest Christian, yes that Harvest, that very one, off of Madison Street in Riverside Ca. Where pastor Greg Laurie gives his surmons. I was also a current student at Harvest Christian School. Christopher Laurie, Greg Laurie's son, was in the grade below me. If i am to remember correctly, his nickname was Topher.
My Dad asked me to look up and over to my right. I see a person in a wheelchair. He asked me what i felt and thought of when i saw that. I was 8 or 9 years old at the time, so my 8 - or 9 year old self replied, "I feel sorry for him." My dad said NO. I then looked at my dad confused and said, "Am I not supposed to feel sorry for him." My dad gave a little chuckle, and the Heisler smirk, that all male Heisler offspring inherit. My dad had said, well yes you could and should feel something for him," but what you should be feeling is Grateful. Grateful that you can walk and run and play sports. And possibly that older boy over there in that wheelchair may not have ever been able to walk, run, jump, or play sports like baseball, all the things that you get to do. I know that you think life is unfair at times, Jason. Yes, life is unfair, and unfair as life is. It is always going to be that way. There are people that deserve far better than what life has given them. Some people deserve a lot less than what they have. You need to feel and be grateful for the things you can and get to do and for all the things you do have. He had then asked me if i deserved my bike, skateboard, boogieboard, and all the rest of my games and toys that I had. I answered with a stern voice "YAH" my dad gave another Heisler smirk, nodded his head, and said, "Are you sure about that?" I followed with a little uncertainty in my voice "yes" he looked down to me and told me So feel Grateful son, be Grateful for everything, everything You do have, and feel Grateful for the things you don't have.
Life itself is a lesson...
Recently, I have gone through some hardship. So much infact that I am currently living in my truck. I don't have a home to go to because I was/am already home. Enough said about that for the moment, any way...
I began to order. I asked for the Mc chicken value meal, it comes with the usual fries and a small drink, which is $5 pulled up to the window. The lady asked me if I wanted another Mc chicken for a $1.00 I said yes because one I was hungry, and I have very little money. I also remember seeing that on the McDonald's app, the one I just used to get directions over here tonight so i could eat something besides another peanutbutter and jelly sandwich tonight. I paid the lady at the first window, then proceeded to the next window. A young lady came up, opened the drive thru window, and confirmed the order with me. Before handing me my food. As she did, I saw that elderly fellow again, standing outside up near the front of the golden arches. I then began to apologize for the incident when I was ordering from the menu. I began to feel something, something i have not felt for a while. What i felt was, graditude, yes, and grateful despite that I currently live in my truck. I have recently lost a lot more than just my place to live. YES I AM GRATEFUL THAT I STILL HAVE A TRUCK / VEHICLE THAT I AM ABLE TO SLEEP IN, I am grateful that I still can walk, run, jump, and play a little bit of sports even when my body aches fr

The location has horrible traffic and is hard to get in and out of some days but it's quick like all the other McDonald's. Love the mobile app. No complaints other than the location. Just too many damn people.
Took for ever to pickup order and others came in after me and got their orders before me. Mine was just a couple of bfast sandwiches, no special order. Very disappointing.

The McDonald’s on berry street in Fort Worth Texas by Walmart, needs to do Better I went around night time at 1:00am and I went through the drive through for some food, I paid and got handed my food but the customer service is horrible! The girls face at the window was very rude and she had a additive handing me my bag of food, The management team needs to do better than that, and re train y’all’s workers, to be nice and friendly, not rude, you can obviously tell there there for the money and not even to acknowledge the customers, the Managers should make the female workers wear makeup or something, I just got off a 14 hour shift from a job and get paid $60 an hour, for 14 hours straight last thing I want to deal with is a Persons additude. Yall should do something to fix that! The young Mexican girl at the window was very rude, I wasn’t even told have a good night or anything!
