While doing a little shopping in the Stockyards, a lady in the General Store suggested we give them a try. Great advice! I had the chicken enchilados with black beans. It was some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The black beans were really good. My wife had the beef enchilados with refried beans. She reall enjoyed hers too. The service was great. If we ever go back that way we will defintely eat there again.
Great place to gather with friends. Probably a good idea to make a reservation for weekend evenings. Free parking on site but fills up on the weekends. We thought we would just grab a snack so we ordered the sampler platter. It came out on 2 large plates, could have fed 3 people easily. I recommend you have at least 4-5 in your party if you want it as an appetizer.
We’ve eaten at LosVaqueros many times over the last 20 years. Lately, we’ve been coming in for lunch and I always order the cheese enchilada dinner with ranchera sauce served homestyle. I thought the dish tasted on a recent visit. After the first bite A brief inspection revealed burned tortillas. Sent it back but the returning dish also had a burned enchilada.
