Very disappointed, The food was overpriced, the chili cheese dog was bland , the bun was soggy and the cheese had an off taste. The fries were cold. Big waste of money.

This location is a sleeper (no crowds); crowds I’m used to seeing at these restaurants. Maybe they just built too many in a short time or in a wrong spot. Regardless, the Italian beef (dipped) sandwiches are consistently mouth watering delicious!!! Gotta have it dipped with sweet and grenadier peppers and lightly salted. All the food they offer are just awesome from what I can remember over 24 years of eating here - before it became a franchise. Being a little older now, I don’t indulge in all the riches of foods they offer but it’s a must try… ?

My daughter ordered from the Kiosk and made a mistake the lady at the counter there could not help and got someone who Yelled from the cook line that they have no control over the kiosk and she would have to call a number to sort out her order. I tried ordering from two
Different kiosks but it wouldn’t take my order so I perform the lady at the counter. She asked if I wanted a 4 or 6 piece chicken tenders I said 6 but received a 4 piece. They forgot to give my grandson his drink. For being there for the first time it was not a pleasant experience. I may give them a second chance. But as of now it wasn’t a great experience.
Parking: There were numerous handicapped parking spaces in front of the restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there are several handicap parking spaces and i side several tables that are wheelchair accessible.

I wish I took pictures.
First, love the kiosks. A lady literally cut us off to get in line and I just went to a kiosk and we ordered, sat down, number called, then they started to find a seat!!!
Second, the rolls were spot on, love the different size options.
Third, prices were expected, we spent $75 for 4 people.
Fourth, omg the chocolate cake shake, diabetes here I come. Divine! Share it!
Fifth, as a Chicagoland transplant, thank you for the taste bud trip home.
Kid-friendliness: Kids loved it.

Im originally from Chicago. I escaped to free Texas some years back. The ONLY thing I miss abiut that den of iniquities is the food. I cant tell you how thrilled I was when I heard Portillos was coming here!
I knew Dick Portillo and remember his original "Dog House" on North Ave! This is a taste of the old neighnorhood!!!

Drive all the way across the DFW area to get here and they have everything blocked off and appears to be only open to employees. This is the 21st century, if your store is closed or unavailable. Let the public know. There are cars lined up trying to see what’s going on and why you guys aren’t open.

Restaurantji Recommends
First, from the outside their building doesn't even resemble a restaurant in the way it looks. Also, the food is absolutely nothing special--except the Eclair cake dessert is the BEST! Lastly, the place was freezing cold on a 60 degree evening and was unbearable to try and hurry a meal in to not freeze to death! The food itself is nothing different or unique but their desserts are awesome! The Italian beef sandwich is really not very flavorful or worth paying money for. Go to another family type restaurant that serves American food because this one isn't worth the money or that special at all.

The Italian beef sandwich is the best! Don't forget to get cheese to dip your fries in.
