Food was ok, but not worth the price. Service wasn't really there, server was probably overwhelmed so trying not to be too harsh. Honestlt would not come back.

My wife and I dined here early May 2024.
We had booked a table and got seated upon arrival.
They have a very nice selection of food and wine. The service is kind and professional.
The location is super - in the middle of the Stockyards.
Definitely a place to dine and revisit.

Parking: Near the big building at the Stockyards

Wheelchair accessibility: Ok downstairs - not to the upstairs.

We got the queso which was okay but the worst part was the entrees. I got the shrimp and grits and the shrimp was not only rubbery but still had the poop sack so they were unclean. When the waitress went to discuss the issue with the chef, their response was that the shrimp is previously frozen so they can’t clean them. That is a very poor and dishonest excuse. For a $35 plate, at least do the bare minimum when prepping the protein. My husband got a smash burger but for a $10 burger, we could’ve gone to Shake Shack at the corner. We also got the banana pudding which tasted sour so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was not homemade and expired. Definitely will not be back unless they make some serious changes. They probably need to start with that chef that refuses to remove the poop from their shrimp.

Service is a bit on the slow side
Food is tasty but the fish & chips and kids chicken nuggets definitely not worth it.
The 18 oz rib eye is good but quite fatty.
Chimichurri steak is good
Chicken fried steak is mid

I was a bit hesitant to try Provender Hall for dinner after reading the inconsistent reviews. However, we had an excellent experience! We were greeted warmly at the door and seated promptly. Our waiter (Christian) was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our food was piping hot and delicious- we had the fried green tomatoes, skillet cornbread, and a ribeye (that my husband claims is the best he’s ever had).

My wife and I had reservations for brunch at Provender Hall for our anniversary. Overall we were disappointed and will not be going back. The brunch menu is limited. I know the chef/owner is big on stating the restaurant having Texas flair - however having lived in Fort Worth my entire life, oysters are not big in the non-Gulf parts (most of) Texas yet comprise a number of menu items. My wife had shrimp and grits - the most expensive item on the menu at $28. It came on a very small platter (we were stunned at the portion). The three shrimp were overcooked and rubbery - not edible. There was lots of chopped bacon and very little grits, which were runny/watery. We were probably 80% thru our meal before our waiter came by to check on us, when my wife complained. He and the manager did remove it from the check and offered to make something else, but being almost done at that point we had other things to do and she did not want to eat after I was already done. My chicken fried steak and fried egg was ok, nothing special. We did note the breakfast potatoes which came with my meal were the highlight of both our meals. Our recommendation would be to update the menu to more of a Texas flair if that is what you are striving for and check on guests more. Had we seen our waited when we started to eat ( did not see any wait staff upstairs for some time) we would have sent my wife's meal back for something else before we were so far into the meal. As locals, this is not a restaurant we will be coming back to.

Sat at the bar and ordered a beer, nachos and chicken tenders with fries. YUCK! How do you screw these two apps up?! My husband isn't a picky eater and he couldn't even stomach it. The chicken tenders had zero flavor to them and the meat on the nachos were sweet. Unsure what kind of sauce it was supposed to be. Taco Bell has better nacho sauce then this place. There are plenty of places to choose from in the stock yards. I don't know how they have 4.3 stars. Smh.

Food was OK but nothing special. This was our first time here and I honestly expected better. Service was painfully slow all the way from drinks to main dishes being served. My meal was hot but others' at our table were only lukewarm. We were interested in dessert but after how slow everything came out we were honestly just ready to leave. Probably won't go back - there are much better restaurants in Fort Worth that we would rather spend our time and money.

We sat at the bar for a drink and an appetizer. What a fun place! Charles and Noel were awesome bartenders, had great drinks, laughed, and enjoyed the fresh pork rinds! So delish! We would definitely pop back in for a drink! They also just got the Lazy K bourbon and we got to sample--yum!

Food was ok, we got the fried green tomatoes and all you could taste was the fried coating, the tomatoes need to be cut bigger. The cornbread was good, but dried out very fast. Collard greens were not that great and they didn’t have a large selection of sides. Cuts of meat were ok, nothing crazy. Probably won’t be coming back.

Service was great, seated immediately when we arrived at our reservation time. Lower level has both a walk up bar to take drinks with you in the stockyard and a bar and some diner seating. The second level is large and interesting— made us curious as to what the building was before it was a restaurant. Food was good to almost great, would absolutely go back. Expect to spend about $35/person on the low end.
