The best BBQ I've had in the area! The brisket is absolutely mouth watering and the sausage is perfect. The staff is super friendly and they often have live music! There's a great patio with tables and cornhole nestled outside amongst the trees for a beautiful evening out. They make everything from scratch in house and it shows in the flavor! You will not be disappointed! Sooo goood!

The bbq was excellent the guy cooking all the food was extremely personable! Finding the entrance door was a little confusing we felt lost for a minute but once we got inside it was warm welcoming and live music.

Best bbq we’ve had in the area. Beef ribs and brisket were so good we didn’t need the sauce…but we still tried the sauce and loved it, too! The sides and cobblers were also great. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu. Love having a great bbq place so close!

This is definitely a great bang for you buck and good bbq! I couldn’t finish my plate since they give such good portions. The bbq sauce is a little sweet for our family but still good. The beans were super flavorful and so was the coleslaw. The coleslaw was a little watery but the flavor was good and still had crunch. It does take a little bit of time to get your order, but people have to be mindful that there are large orders coming out for pick up as well and it’s not a fast food restaurant. Overall a great experience. They have a nice outdoor area for the late summer/fall weather nights.

Very nice people and a very nice area to eat. But, the BBQ is bad,bad,bad!!!! It is beyond dry!! Don't bother with the BBQ sauce, it won't help. I thought Natty Flats BBQ was bad, this is just as bad. I got the Brisket and it's horrible. No flavor and dry as a bone. My wife got the pulled pork and it was very watery and mushy. I got the 2 meat plate which was 17 bucks but they charged me 2 more dollars because I got double brisket. These people are super nice but do not spend your money here. It's absolutely horrible.

The brisket was juicy and the smoke ring was brilliant. The spare ribs are cut perfect for both hand eat'n like corn on the cob. The dry seasoning on both were tasty and will satisfy most pallets. I will be back to try the other meats.Great service and atmosphere.

We eat here weekly, the food is phenomenal, I am partial to the beef rib, big chunk of meat done just right. I pair it with the potato salad, coleslaw, apple cobbler and sweet tea. I always have enough left over for lunch the next day or two.

Last night we decided to get takeout from Read’s. We went to the location on the weekend they originally opened and had a good experience, so we decided to give them a second try. Once we got back home we realized we were missing our half rack of ribs, so I called to circle back and get them. The owner asked for our address, and had his manager deliver them (plus extra) to our house 20 minutes away. His words were, “If we made a mistake, I want to make it right.” The brisket and ribs were delicious (we are picky as we BBQ ourselves regularly), but the fact that customer satisfaction is at the forefront of this establishment is what blew us away. You have customers for life!Side note - I also like places that I can take my feral children to run without getting looked at funny. You can get all of these things at Read’s.

I am afraid to write review for this new BBQ as I don't want anyone to know (hope they will stay the same) but the food and the people are absolutely amazing to not share and show our appreciation. I was out with my mom (visiting out of country) and showing her good old West Texas towns and country roads over the weekend. We simply run in to Read's BBQ by accident. They gave us absolutely what we needed and more; delicious and generous food (Brisket BBQ - both lean and marbled), special location within nice outdoor setting, and most importantly genuine southern family hospitality, experience, smiles and welcome.
