For 13 years, six couples have returned to this restaurant for a valentine celebration. Food and the service is always exceptional and we really enjoy our time there. Through the last 13 years and two locations I've never gotten anything off the menu but I didn't enjoy. And don't skip the desserts.
We booked a Friday night dinner for two and I’m glad we did, Reata gets packed, and for good reason. From start to finish, the experience was excellent.
We ordered the bone-in pork chop, blackened buffalo ribeye, and bacon-wrapped shrimp, and every dish was outstanding. The meats were cooked perfectly tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The grits deserve a special mention too: creamy, rich, and the perfect complement to the entrées.

We reserved a party room for a Bridesmaid's luncheon last Friday. Reata does an A+ job. Working with McKynlea was a delight. We chose a limited menu, including several delicious gluten free choices. She sent me a sample menu ahead of time for my approval. Carae was our waitress and did an exceptional job. We also had a table in the main dining room for half a dozen of the husbands who insisted on coming to have the special tamales, and bison burgers! They too loved...
