Don’t come here. It’s just a minor upgrade from a school lunch. Dry ribs and the food isn’t all that tasty. Take your money elsewhere

Bad service, the food doesn't taste good, they brought the food at different times, you're supposed to go to eat together, very slow to serve, I'll never come back

Terrible service last 3 visits.! We had a guy who shouldn't be in the food service his tag said his name was Tiny. Food order came out wrong and the food was Terrible super greasy and cold very disappointing. We sat long period looking for our server and he was no where to be found then finally pops up and would aviod his areas several tables in our section just got up and got their own refills and got what they could from servers around them horrible! We got the all you can eat ribs and couldn't get refills on our food we paid for. We have been going for yrs and had hopes it was just one bad visit but nope got the same guy twice and then finally got a lady she was great but food was not. Would reccomend trying a different BBQ place this is a bad representation of texas food and our ppl.

The worst part was that the brisket that was served was far more fat and only a miniscule amount of actual meat. Service was lacking, excessively long to get served. Really disappointed, far too much money spent for such disappointing brisket.

Here for lunch after the cattle drive: seated & served quickly, onion strings app arrived before our drinks (makes you wonder how fresh). I had the Sliced brisket sandwich which I thought was dry. Wife had the smoked catfish which was WONDERFUL ( I tasted & agreed). Worth the stop just for the catfish.

Food was cold, potato was too mushy, tasted like mashed potatoes. Macaroni was good. The fried pickles were ok. Oh and I wanted a kids meal and was refused a kids meal because im not under 12, if I wasn’t really hungry and didn’t want a big portion meal why should I be forced to get something that im not gonna finish eating ? I go to many restaurants and I’m not denied a kids portion meal. You get my money but I don’t get what I wanted. Probably not gonna come back here.

Came with my mom and her girlfriend. First the waitress wouldn't let me order what I wanted to order (she said her manager wouldn't allow it) so I said I'll just have water. Then she took it upon herself to bring me a plate of food I did not order/want AND charged me $12.99 for it along with a beverage I did not have for an additional $4 when I only had water. I didn't notice till I left and looked at the receipt. I've also tried to call several times in an attempt to have my card refunded (paid for everyone else's meals) but the phone is constantly busy. So I guess I'll never get my money back. Very disappointed in this place.

My wife and I had a late lunch here. She had the pork ribs and they were okay but bland. One rib was a big piece of skin and fat. I had a smoked sausage sandwich which was unimpressive. It looked like a store bought kielbasa sliced up and put on a bun. There was nothing else on the sandwich. The outside of the sandwich was cold and the "sausage" didn't taste like it was smoked at all. I asked for mustard but never got any. The casing around the edge of the sausage was like chewing on plastic. I spit what I could out and then began peeling it off the slices. The red beans were average. The best thing I ate here was the cole slaw, which was a $4.00 add-on. My wife said I have cooked better BBQ at home on my bullet smoker in Canada. Pretty sad for BBQ in Texas at the Stockyard of all places.

Not like the old Ricky's where all you can eat ribs were $12.99. Ta now 20$ but the ribs are more meaty and sides are better.

Great barbecue at Stockyards station. The place was very busy, but got a table very quick. The food and drinks were great with the Pulled Pork Sandwich, the fries, and the Orange Fanta. The table service on the other end though, wasn’t great. Our server wasn’t informing us if they made changes to our order or not and brought out the wrong meal first, until we corrected them. We also didn’t know where the barbecue sauce was as well. So, that was a minus star for the confusion. But, all in all, great food and place to be in for lunch at the Stockyards.

Food is mediocre. The food had no smoke taste. We have a small place back home called cow pokes and they're food is delicious. It had some flavor and the food doesn't come out cold. Had to send it back to be heated. Service was pretty decent but the food was not it.

Ordered online through door dash for me to pickup. Payment was pending in my account, got an email confirmation, as well as an order tracker. Tracker never moved from "received your order", but email said it would be ready in 20 minutes. It had been 35 when I went to restaurant. They did not know of my order. My son went in and I sent them my screen shots of the order being placed. I ordered a chopped beef brisket potato, but payed extra for sliced beef. They said they couldn't do that (although that is how I always order it because I do not care for the way the chopped beef tastes.) They didn't try to make it right, just that they couldn't do that. I decided on a refund, but they just told me I had to go through door dash. Someone needs to resolve the disconnect, wherever that may be, and maybe try a little harder to make it right when someone is showing you proof that they completed an order.

Nothing was wrong with the experience, just don't get your BBQ hopes up. Excellent marketing drew me in and the convenience of being right in the stockyards. The best way to describe the food was that it came straight of the Sysco truck, heated, and served. No Risky dust or any personality added by Risky's.

Honestly, this was my first encounter with Barbecue in Texas, and I was pleasantly delighted! Enormous portions that you’ll never finish. The Sampler platter was a worthwhile investment. The “Three Meat” experience can only be described as an eye AND belt buckle opening experience! My sole critique was the brisket I received as it was more firm and dry than I’m used to. Pulled pork was inspired, as were the hefty, Flintstone-esque beef ribs. Definitely worth the trip, and another, and another!
