While this place is cute on the outside, the only thing we audibly went “mm!” At was cheese and jam served after the main course. Under seasoned and over priced, under serviced as well. Nearly out of everything by the time we were sat (which we had reservations for) People that had reservations after us were finishing their last course by the time we got our main. Overall disappointing.
Excellent, quaint, French restaurant. Recommend it highly!!
Everything was great until we were hit with a huge upcharge at the end. There was no mention at all that some dishes would be significantly upcharged beyond the fixed price; not in the menu or by the waitress. We felt scammed.
Saint Emilion is five stars every single time!! Every time we’ve been here we have ordered something different and it never disappoints. I love that each night you’re going to have so many fresh and seasonal options. This is the top place I recommend to friends and family when they are looking for a place to celebrate something fun or just enjoy a great meal. The atmosphere and service can’t be beat.
We recently had a couple's date night and we always dine at a new-to-us restaurant. We chose Saint Emilion and WOW!! The restaurant is absolutely charming! Our server, Jade, was fantastic! She answered all of our questions and made excellent recommendations! The food and wine were fabulous! We highly recommend Saint Emilion if you are looking for a romantic dining experience! 5 stars!!
You need to experience Chef Parker's Walnut Gâteau aux Noix!
A French walnut cake drizzled with plum syrup with fresh, tart, plums. This is a phenomenal dessert paired with a cuppa' (coffee).
This is so moist and buttery. The sweetness of the cake and tartness of the plum was a beautiful balance. It is a seasonal dessert, but can be prepared if given proper notice.
I will be giving them notice when we return!
Good service, food, and wine!
We have had the pleasure of dinner at Saint-Emilion several times over the years, and that is why we return. The service is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is ideal and not noisy, and the food always superb. Excellent wines too. This time we enjoyed the lamb and the Dover sole special.
Cozy little cottage with excellent French cuisine. We enjoyed the tenderloin and lamp chops. Finished off the dinner with crème brûlée. Will def be back!

What a fantastic little hidden oasis. The food was fantastic, and the staff was impeccable. I rarely post reviews, but Saint-Emilion definitely deserves the praise. Special thanks to Bernard and Amber. My wife and I rarely get out for a night by ourselves and getting to pick our wine with you and our conversation made the night more comfortable and enjoyable than you can imagine. On our next visit, because we will be back, I hope we can share a glass of wine together and continue our conversation.

Another extraordinary culinary adventure at Saint-Emilion! This is just the most special place to enjoy a meal with loved ones.
It was a honor to spend this evening savoring Bernard’s decadent autumn menu and expertly paired wines (with the help of their fabulous in-house sommelier). The range and quality of dishes on offer is unparalleled.
Tonight we enjoyed the three course meal plus an appetizer of fondue of Gruyere, Brie and French feta topped with pomegranate molasses and figs (divine!). Among our other dishes were New Zealand Venison chops over onion caramelized gnocchi and peppercorn currant sauce, a white version of veal bourguignon over mashed potato, steak tartare with truffle crisps, French onion soup (to die for!), plus drunken goat and Brie cheeses with walnut fig jam. Along with a couple of glasses of wine, we were too full for dessert this time.
I always love how the menu is set up for three set courses with several options of each course, plus optional starters and desserts.
My husband and I adore the charming, cozy, Keebler-house ambiance of Saint-Emilion and the dedicated staff that sets it apart.
It’s beautiful to see such a thoughtfully operated restaurant stand the test of time…it has truly aged like fine wine! It’s hard to imagine a place more deserving of praise and support. Bon appetit!
Parking: Easy peasy parking! Love to see it.

Ive been dining at Saint Emilion for 8 years and recommending it just as long. Most recently however the owner Bernard and his employee demonstrated the most egregious display of “we don’t want or need your patronage” Ive ever experienced at a restaurant, including restaurants in Paris where that’s a whole vibe.
I made a reservation around 30 days in advance for 4 and the day before our friends had a their sitter fall through. I called the restaurant and let them know my reservation needed to change to two instead of 4.
Tenille picked up the phone and after I explained the change I was requesting she asked, “can’t you do it on resy?” I explained I tried but it just kept spinning and never confirming a change. She asked for my name, asked me to repeat it, placed me on hold, came back asked for my name a third time, asked me what time and then said she couldn’t make the change because there weren’t tables for 2. I asked if we could sit at the original table she said no, then placed me on hold again.
Bernard the owner came on the line and I explained myself again and he said he could only cancel my reservation. I said I understand it was originally for 4 I would happily pay any difference from us only having 2 at a 4 top.
He said “no we don’t do that, you can’t pay for things you don’t get.” I said I understood I would order 4 entrees and take 2 to go. He said no, I pleaded to still be able to eat there and that I would happily compensate them for the difference of us not being able to provide two additional bodies. And he refused.
It was incredibly upsetting that I was begging to dine there and grasping at straws to try and make it fair to them since we were taking up a 4 top that Bernard just didn’t care.
So even though this was the place that I used to scrape my money together for a special occasion meal in my 20s to now that I’m trying to throw money at them just to keep my reservation, I just don’t think food can taste good when I the owner just doesn’t care if you eat there or not.
So while Rise and Les Margot don’t have the same atmosphere… they’ve never made me beg to eat there and still told me no.
Good food…. But lots of places have good food and owners that are happy you chose their restaurant out of all the great options in Cultural district.
