Got the smoked chicken. Very tasty. Didn't care for the potato salad or the beans. The potato salad was mashed potatoes basically with some seasonings. The beans tasted like ranch style out of a can jazzed up with onions and bacon. The iced tea was good.

The food was fabulous, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was TEXAS!!!! We are so happy to have found this place while visiting Ft. Worth. However, the best part isn’t the food, it is the owner who went above and beyond to review his cameras and help us trace back to where my daughter misplaced her purse. I just cannot say enough about how great this place really is!!! If we ever find ourselves in Texas again we will definitely go back to Sammie’s!!!!

Love this BBQ spot! The owner is an amazing person. Everything I've tried here is delightful, but my favorite is the Turkey and the jalapeño cheddar sausage. Don't forget to ask for Sammies sauce. ??

I can't believe I haven't been here since the new owners bought Sammy's. Sammy's has been a part of our family dining and events since the early 60s. There was nothing better than Sammy's chopped BBQ with thier amazing unrivaled BBQ sauce. Then their fries and rings ...Best on the planet as far as I was concerned. It broke my heart to learn they sold years ago and I had heard they changed all the recipes so we never went back. Well, I could completely kick myself now. I never thought I would say this... BUT...the new owners have seriously taken Sammy's to the next level. BRAVO! Your chopped BBQ just might top the original and just became my favorite. Your Sammy's original BBQ sauce was not quite the original but it actually might be even better too. The onion rings were identical and brought back some great memories of birthday , graduation, and fun family celebrations spent at Sammy's over my life time. There was more people there than I ever saw those last 6 years when the original owners had Sammy's. Five stars all the way around. We had great service too! I need to make up for all these lost years and yes...I'm seriously kicking myself for holding out so long. I travel all over the country and get to try the best BBQ. I am so excited Sammy's is in my city! Will be going back regularly. Yay!

I got a 2 meat plate thru the drive thru for lunch. Some of the driest sliced brisket I've ever had from a bbq place. Jalapeño sausage and sides were ok. Feel like I wasted money because bbq is not cheap!
