Donuts are different since new management. Shipleys is already overpriced. Now the product has gone down hill at this location. Idk about other locations but this one is a no go for our family. People were friendly, just bad donuts.

Very disappointed with this location. My family and I just moved over here and have been visiting every Saturday morning and we always get a dozen of donuts, an apple fritter, 2 butterflies, and 2-4 cinnamon rolls.
This week the week of 12/14/25 I sent my husband over (pregnancy craving) and he purchased our dozen at about 5 am. He got the donuts home, kissed me and the children, then stepped into the hallway. At that point I opened the box and the donuts were extremely oily! I broke one in half and it was just disgusting. I called up there and Richard (very sweet guy) told me to leave the box open for a bit and they’ll be fine. He rushed it and didn’t allow the oil to drop for a period longer because he thought my husband had to go to work. Now I don’t mind a rushed job but do it right the first time so you avoid losing customers. So we left the box opened all day and the donuts were still oily (so much for my pregnancy craving). 2 days later and the box was full of yellow oil and oil stains were in my tablecloth. I was more so upset about my tablecloth than my wasted money.
I went today (12/19/25) at about 6 am and there was a gentlemen at the window. I asked if Richard was there and he said no. Asked if I wanted to speak with a mgr and I said I’d wait to speak with Richard.
I proceeded to order 1 apple fritter, 4 white iced with sprinkle donuts, and the rest were glazed. The total was $16.00 and some cents. Before I left home I checked the website to see pricing for a dozen (in my area) to ensure my 10 year old had enough birthday money to purchase himself special donuts.
I explained to my son that he needed to take the Apple fritter off because all he had was 11 dollars. The guy said “well, the Apple fritter is only 2.75 “ or 2.50 and I asked him”well how much for a dozen” and he said “22.00” I asked him how that made sense if the order was $16.00 for what I originally wanted and after removing something the price went up.
He said “well it’s half” the said “well, it’s the same price” when I asked if the white iced ones cost more. Then he said “well I’m charging you for each one, but I don’t know”. I’ve been to this Shipley’s, the one in Saginaw, and the one on 377 and never have I ever had this level of confusion whenever ordering donuts in the morning. Nor have I ever had an issue with donuts being super oily in the morning and staining things days later.
Sadly, they have lost my business with this level of confusion, oily donuts that I had to toss, and to fulfill my pregnancy craving I had to drive halfway across town to get donuts! Let me not forget to mention that the guy this morning ruined my son’s birthday.

A few months ago, I decided to not go back to this location because I was overcharged but today we were running behind and I had to make the choice. These donuts are the least fresh donuts I’ve ever experienced at any location and the gentleman that works behind the register an older man missing a few teeth is so uncomfortably, awkward and aggressive. It’s just not worth going to the location. I won’t be back.

Got a basic half and half. Donuts tasted like plastic and left a weird taste in the mouth for several minutes after eating. Also the chocolate donuts didn't remotely taste like chocolate. For fourteen dollars it's not worth it in the slightest, your money is best spent elsewhere. Server clearly couldn't care about being there, probably knows how bad the food is and feels bad or something. The place looked nice on the outside and inside, don't let that fool you.

Allergy alert! Had two donuts yesterday that had walnuts inside the donut. Daughter ended up in the ER. I totally understand cross contamination in toppings but this is horrible. Last time ever going to Shipley’s.

This is our go-to Shipley's. Donuts and kolaches are always great. Had an issue with an order once and the owner was super helpful and receptive to feedback, and made things right immediately.

I have been to this location before and used the drive through and do not normally have any issues except this morning. I gentleman did not know the donuts I was asking and had to explain 3 times the donuts I wanted. Usually these chocolate log are given to you in a small box because of the length and having a chocolate topping. Today I received 2 of them shoved on top of each other in a bag. We had to tear the bag to try to get them out and ended up also tearing the donuts to get them out of the bag and from sticking together. It was a mess that we ended just throwing the whole mess away. What a disappointment and if there staff is new maybe what donuts should be packaged in a box and not a bag. Don’t think well will go to this location anymore.
