The drinks were not freshly made, we sat in the drive thru for 45 mins - stuck between the cars and curbs. The young person at the window couldn't understand simple requests for straws - he/she/it seemed confused. If you're in a hurry, find another coffee place (there are plenty of others nearby).

I went to Starbucks (on Black Friday of all days), and they were absolutely swamped (inside and in the drive-thru). Despite the chaos, the team did an incredible job getting everyone’s orders out. They stayed polite, worked quickly, and handled the pressure like pros — even when a certain customer got upset about orders they clearly couldn’t control. I really appreciate how hard the baristas behind the counter were working.

And to the lady who didn’t understand the concept of waiting your turn — I hope you heard me when I told the barista I wished people had more patience. That was in regards to ✨you✨. Tho I doubt you realized it.

Overall, huge shout-out to the Starbucks team today. You made a stressful shift look easy. 💚

Avoid This location!Have been to this location twice this week And both times have been a waste of time. Took over 30 minutes to get two coffees and two sandwiches both times if few employees that were working seem stressed and overworked appears the franchise owner is skipping on having enough employees to handle the business to save a few dollars but in the end is losing customers. Many customers I saw walked in, then walked right back out since the line was backed up and even more people waiting for their orders. Hope this location get her act together since it is a very busy area.

Every time I come, I get ignored until I have to make someone acknowledge me. I get it they are busy but I’m always having to wait 15+ mins. For the most part the workers are nice and friendly when I talk to them, but I still get ignored 9/10 times I go.

This was my second time to come here. My first experience was great. My second time wasnt. I had to wait almost 20 mins for my drink. First, my name wasnt even called, two they didnt even fill it up all the way and I pay $7 for this drink. And all the mocha was just sitting at the bottom not blended right. Third, two of the girls where standing and talking to other employees standing there and more worried about making their own drink and clocking out. And no one was really watching the drive thru window. It was almost empty almost the same amount of time as it took them to make my drink.

Very poor service. Came in asked for an online order. Was told it’s being worked on. 20 min later, as I’m warning a delivery driver about the extreme wait, the manager FINALLY thinks to look and see the order has been sitting on a different counter waiting for the color to be added to complete the order. I get that it’s a holiday, but 20 minutes for a complete order that I specifically asked for not being “found” until I speak up to another customer is ridiculous!

They're getting worse every time I come here. If they're not trying to charge extra, they're trying to give you the wrong size drink. You correct them, and they get annoyed and scold you! Who do they think they are?

A Tale of Northlake Starbucks Magic

I walked into the Northlake Starbucks and was immediately greeted by a warm, cozy vibe—just the right touch of the coming Christmas season without blasting Christmas music before Thanksgiving. For that alone… bless you, Northlake Starbucks. Bless you.

I made my way to the counter, ready for the standard “What’s your name again?” routine. But no—this crew hit me with genuine smiles and service so cheerful it felt like they were auditioning for a Hallmark movie. And when they asked for my name, they actually used it. Twice. I don’t even think my family uses my name that much.

I sat down with my laptop (in tow, as all laptops should be), preparing myself to listen for the traditional Starbucks battle cry: “MARK!! GRANDE SOMETHING-SOMETHING WITH THREE PUMPS OF WHATEVER!”

But no. Not here.
Not in this enchanted café.

Instead, my drink was hand-delivered to my table with a smile and a blessing for my day. I felt seen. I felt valued. I felt… hydrated with caffeine.

Now, listen—I’ve been to many Starbucks in my day. Many. And let’s be honest: we all know we’re paying for “Pretty Good Coffee” with “Very Good Consistency.” But this one? This one is the jewel in the crown of “Okay, yes, it’s overpriced but just let me live.” The customer service blew me away, and the coffee itself? It was the okest cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Peak okay. Five-star okay. Michelin-level okay.

If you go to Starbucks for consistency, come to this one for something extra:
A cup of joy, a sprinkle of kindness, and maybe even your name spoken more times in one visit than you’ve heard all week.

Northlake Starbucks—you win the day.

I ordered for delivery, the bag had my name on it, but the wrong order inside. Called the store and they were aware, the other person was already getting theirs redone, but the manager said that I had to get a refund then reorder. I realise accidents happen but at least try to make it right! I guess you don’t need repeat business

I was passing through on a recent trip and I ordered ahead on the app. Arrived approximately 10 min after ordering and waited another 20 after arriving until I finally got my coffee. I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry to anywhere. There was also only 4 people inside so I'm not really sure what the time wait was all about but never really had that problem with starbucks before.

Not sure if there is new management. But as a very regular customer. Something has changed. Atmosphere and quality of service has declined. The employees are still very helpful. But it seems as managers or management have caused a different culture causing it to reflex on service quality and atmosphere. Hope some changes are made to resolve.

I’m not even exaggerating — I waited 30 minutes for a cup of coffee before finally asking for a refund. That’s just crazy. No one should have to wait that long for a simple cup of coffee, no matter how busy it is.
