Very tasty! Chicken-fried steak with a surprisingly light crust and luscious pepper-cream gravy. Cheese burger oozing with cheese out the sides! Fried okra with a crispy crust that is wonderfully satisfying! Gotta try this place next time you are in the Stockyards in Fort Worth.
I first came here as a teenager. With the beef being (probably) as fresh as it can be in the Stockyards, it's the best burger I've ever had. Also, it was the first time I had ever had IBC Root Beer. Got to go back after a long time and it's still great. I've only had the burger, so can't recommend anything else.
There were five of us at the table but only three meals ordered. It took her 20 minutes to come to the table and another hour before we were ready to leave. Very very very slow service! It was lunch hour and the place was full. But I think in an hour and 20 minutes you should visit the table more than three times. I ordered the daily special which was tasty. Those with hamburgers enjoyed them. But if we are back at the stockyards again, we will definitely find someplace else to...
