I literally ate the best spicy Italian sub I’ve ever had. I wish I knew the ladies name who made it but she’s a little bit older black lady with grey hair. She was extremely nice and welcoming. I never comment on anything but the sub was that good. It wasn’t messy, proportioned perfectly and looked amazing when I opened it. You can tell she really cares about the quality of her work. By far the best subway I have ever been too. The food the service and just the welcoming environment was unmatched. I can see why the regulars have been coming for years. I visited this Subway on Christmas Eve, about 20 minutes before closing. I had just arrived back into town and my mother was sick so no food was being prepared. The store was empty, and there was one worker present—an older Black woman. When I entered, I greeted her, but she didn’t respond. Instead, she gave me a stern look and asked, “What do you want?” in a tone that felt unwelcoming.

I explained I needed a moment as I was waiting on my dad’s order...
