This place was recommended by one of the owners daughter's. Sadly the food did not live up to the hype. Had to order 2 burritos because they wouldn't mix the meat (carnitas y chicharrón prensado) ordered 8 tacos and a Gordita all totaled $60. Placed the order over the phone, they said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. The food was NOT ready when we arrived at the restaurant, they hadn't even started making it. They pulled food out of the fridge and warmed it in the microwave then put it on a tortilla. There was nothing fresh about the food whatsoever. The floor was very dirty and they used the same tongs for EVERYTHING. One of the burritos was definitely not what we ordered. When brought to their attention they seem more annoyed and argumentative and didn't even offer to correct the order.

Service is horrible here unless you look like you just got here from Mexico. Yeah they are the most racist restaurant Ive been to and Im Mexican.

I giving them 1 star. I called to place a takeout order. Never been there before so I wanted to try them out. I ordered 2 Gorditas and I was asking about the quesadillas and the lady to me it was $11 for one even if you only order just cheese. And I told her no thank you and then she said ok and hung up on me. Even tho I had the 2 gorditas order already placed. There phone hospitality is horrible. I don't know if that lady didn't like me asking questions or what her deal was.

This real mexican restaurant has changed its name to Martinez taqueria.By real mexican restaurant I mean traditional cuisine. It tasted like my grandmother was cooking.I mentioned to my wife that I felt like having huitlacoche(a mushroom that is harvested from corn) she asked at her work and someone mentioned the restaurant by it's former name.I had a gordita with chicharrón en salsa verde while waiting for my huitlacoche quesadilla. The gordita was light tasting with a slight crunch but filled with chicharrón and cotija cheese. The huitlacoche quesadilla was HUGE about 20 inches long filled with cotija cheese, chopped onions and of course tons of huitlacoche. Table side they have salsa roja and salsa verde. I WILL RETURN TO SAMPLE THE REST OF THE MENU!

Not bad for a local Mexican Taco Shop and more! They have decent prices and their burritos are huge! I'm like for 9.00 dollars this better be worth it and it was I only ate half the burrito lol. It's has a bit 10 tables not that much room to move around but I'm not one to spend time in a small location where I feel smothered. However it worth a try even though the area is kinda sketchy but nice people and good service!
