I have never been to any place like this. This restaurant is warm and inviting. Made me feel like I was part of something bigger than myself. Everything I had tasted wonderful and presented beautifully. Highly recommend.

Heard bout this place. Now I see why. My experience was great. The reason they're doin it for makes it that more amazing. I'll be back to show my support. Not just with my presence but also financially. ?

If you want to give support to the aspiring chefs ( current culinary arts students) who prepare gourmet & beautifully plated cuisine! Christian based program who trains tuition free culinary arts students. You pay by donating any amount you want and it feeds all people of all socioeconomic classes. Kind staff & all the employees from hostess, table clearers, dishwashers, & wait staff volunteer. This was a special experience. I had curry carrot soup, pan seared salmon with artichokes & asparagus with caramelized carrot cake. The restaurant also helps with prayer & if you have an emergency circumstance they have programs that may be able to help. I highly recommend investing your time as well as your donations because it truly does help so many people!

They say they’re there to bless and help the community of the less unfortunate people, but turned away my wife and 5 kids because they had a 3 gyms bags wit clothes in them .! VERY SAD HOW ARE YALL BLESSING AND SUPPOSED TO HELP PPL WHN THE MEAN PPL YALL WERE SUPPOSED TO HEP HICHC WERE THE KIDS TALL TURN AWAY ?.!? Others say they’re very racist and I see.! And the rat this was my first time at this place. First impressions are the last impressions . I will never return and will tell everyone else about this . And the fact yall say donate or give wht you can and I didn’t have anything to give because I’m homeless and you stop me at the door to say that wht I gave was unacceptable

I’m writing this review with the hope that my opinion will soon change. It was my first time to visit Taste. I was attracted by all of the 5 star ratings they’ve received. As I entered the restaurant I noticed a girl storming out and the hostess shaking her head. Red flag! I told the hostess I was alone, to which she replied it will be an hour wait. I thought I misunderstood her so I questioned her. She told me yes an hour wait, you see all these people don’t you? I look around and saw one family waiting, three empty tables, and a completely empty patio. She told me to walk around and come back in an hour! I did what she recommended, but I did not come back!I’m not writing them off just yet. I’ve learned this is a unique restaurant and hope this was an isolated incident. With so many 5 star ratings, surely it will be better. I will try them again soon. But for now it’s a 1 star from me.

Completely unaware of this bistro in South Main. It has a mission to feed the unhoused and train those seeking experience in food preparation and service for free. Pay what you can. Those who can pay are encouraged to pay what they would normally pay for the meal served to them. The soup of the day was EXCELLENT (5 star excellent.) The plated meals were all quite good. The restaurant is run by a mission driven professional chef and staffed by an all volunteer work force. Check this place out. Breakfast and Lunch. We were so full we couldn’t get to dessert, but the desserts are very popular.
