Only open to guests of the hotel. Not sure why they advertise like it’s open to the public.

Great spot to stop in from the water garden. Bartender Andrew made us some great bloody Mary's. Even mixes our drinks like they teach on bar rescue.

Very helpful, flexible, friendly staff providing not only the drinks on the menue but also mixing other drinks on demand. Don´t know how we would have sustained the heat without their help :-)

They close at 7 on a Friday and make you go all the way downstairs for a drink. We came here just for the pool and bar for a staycation. Not next time...

It's a great location being by the pool, but I don't think anyone who works there has ever been in a bar or knows what a drink is supposed to taste like. The Pina Coladas and Strawberry Daiquiris were completely tasteless. Also, the price was pretty steep at $11. These places don't seem to get that they could sell more drinks and make more money if they would charge a decent price.

The Waterhorse is really a hidden gem, since you have to work a little to get to where you're going once you enter the Omni...but as wild as Fort Worth goes for patios, I've always been a little surprised that more people (myself included, to be completely honest) don't frequent it. But the best part about hidden gems is that you get to feel as if you and a handful of people who are all as laid back as you are have it all to yourselves, and sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for. It's open seasonally of course, but in the spring and even summer, it's nice to sit around with a drink in hand and enjoy the lush gardening and unique views that a lofty bar at a luxury hotel have to offer - in an escape that seems light years away from the bustle going on just a few floors down at street level.

Easy, breezy, beautiful... Waterhorse. Fort Worthians and out-of-towners, attention please! This little gem is nestled on the 3rd floor of the Omni hotel. Although the pool is reserved for Omni guests, the Waterhorse Pool Bar is eager to take care of you. The cocktail list sizzles with seasonal delights, like the Strawberry Basil Mojito or the Pineapple Mint Caipirinha, also offering a wide selection of beer and wine. And you can order a bite to compliment your imbibements as you enjoy the wonderful view of Texas sky and Fort Worth skyline. An assortment of seating lets you decide where to have your tete-a-tete with friends, from the bar top to watch the game or the comfortable padded seats neatly tucked away in the rooftop garden. My only warning - and I say this with a grin! - is that it can get a little windy on the 3rd floor. So gals, be prepared with your flowy garments, and guys, snug on your hats a little more tightly. And big kudos to Kevin for arranging the Yelp meet-up! It was nice to meet all of you.

I accordance with the laid back vibe of Fort Worth, this rooftop bar fits the bill when it comes to relaxed, good time. Everything from the adjacent pool to the beautifully manicured gardens - it's an urban oasis that serves as a perfect escape from either the hustle and bustle of the city or the raising temperatures outside. The gardens resonated a wild and rustic feel, consisting mainly of bushes, small trees, and lush plants. There are no flowers to be admired, but it seems to make more sense that way as there was a common chic Western, ranch theme running throughout the hotel. The service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, I was more impressed with the beer and cocktail menu. Feeling a bit frisky - I ordered the strawberry and basil mojito. I don't know what got into me - maybe it was the poolside ambiance or the exciting view of downtown Fort Worth - I knew I wanted a stiff cocktail. The Mojito successfully delivered. For a reasonable price, the serving size was generous as were there fresh ingredients of the drink. They even offer an Argentinian beer, that made all the boys happy at the table, that I had never recognized until now. Thanks Kevin - for putting together, yet another wonderful Yelp get together. Funkytown holds a special place in my heart.

Here we are, the salad days: you could do plenty worse than finding yourself essentially the lofty equivalent of beach-side, in this case, on that date when the stars aligned and the Run For The Roses and the glorious Cinco De Mayo bunked together. So, of course, there were a myriad of racing nuts totally down to watch the race and sip on a Mexican bevvie to beat the heat. The Waterhouse doesn't appear to be open year round and doesn't particularly operate like it. There are fissures in the crisp veneer presented here, not the least of which appeared to be the bevy of suits peering in (but not interacting) through the 90 degree heat, but for all that, the staff were perfectly sweet, the cocktails mad tasty, the Latin beers at the ready. They even asked the main act playing the pool area to break until after the race was over, which I found particularly neighborly. All in all, this seemed largely a collective of folks bent on being in the moment, and I can't say I blamed 'em, even the dude who sidled up to the bar to play the 'hey, do you know you look like' game. That never ends well. But no question I walked out of here smiling regardless.
