Don’t buy their taquitos anymore, they are half the size as they use to be but now you pay more for it.

I love the friendly, understanding attitude of the staff here. Being without a ton of money and needing to ponder the menu thoughtfully, even considering things to the last cent post sales tax, Jarrett and his manager answered my questions gracefully and thus made my meal possible in the divine way it was received. Just very pleasant to work with such down to earth, kindhearted people.I was literally writing the above thought down as a happy-go-lucky pair of young men came in after getting off work simply to joke around with Jarrett and the other staff here, introducing themselves to me at some point and drifting into having a convo about science fiction topics of a wide variety that began with their observation that they felt I looked like Jesus, progressed to reincarnation and ended with medical advancements of the future and space exploration. We dapped it up and parted ways friends. All of which is only to point out, these are very uniquely friendly and curious young men (one of whom was 14 years old, the other likely late teens if I was to guess) in there at midnight merely to cut it up with staff they felt matched that awesome energy. After my new friends left, I was thinking about the general good Whataburger vibes I seem to always get at any location, the Olympic-ready speed with which I eviscerated my burger, and other general happy tangential things when it occurred to me: How cool is it that post-COVID there are a few uncompromising places who choose to keep things open 24 hours like they used to? ***If for nothing else than to keep the graveyard crew motivated to continue forward with the the good work, it means so much to me to be able to sit down somewhere, and to be able to do so with good company, and at midnight+, and with my charger for my dying phone, etc. There are a few places that still stay open for drive-thru but close their doors to the public walk-ins at 10ish (cough cough Mc-ye-who-shall-not-be-named).You make Texans proud, y’all, so keep it up and we’ll keep showing up! ??

The night time staff is horrible, they had been doing so well too. The service in the drive thru is super slow, you get cold food & most times its wrong or missing stuff, they put their friends higher priority than actual paying customers. Calling Matthew the manager isnt worth it, you call he puts you on speaker & is obviously distracted to take your issue seriously. I feel for the older woman working the window as she is very respectful & kind, apologizing for the rudeness & immaturity of her co-workers. If I was Hope the owner, i’d be embarrassed over how her employees treat non-friend of employees customers. They give Whataburger a bad name. Go to the one off Little Rd & Green Oaks, now that crew is amazing!
