Sargento’s Mexican Restaurant

Food was fine. Service was quick. Took it to go and shouldn't have, but that's not their fault that I ordered something messy. The ingredients were basic but nothing wrong with it.

Great atmosphere and great service, but the food is lacking. Being so close to Houston, I’d expect the restaurant to serve homemade tortillas, but unfortunately, they are store bought (or at least taste like such). The fajita chicken or rice was nothing to write home about either, and the chips were really thick/hard, but I will say the onions that came with the fajitas were seasoned very well. I also appreciated the lunch menu options, which made lunch more affordable for us.

If you have trouble drinking your daily recommended amount of water per day you're in luck!

The carne asada here is so dry and bland it's no wonder they serve your drinks in super size cups

I put it aside half way through and ended up just eating the chips and salsa which were alright

The food was really good. I came in during the lunch hour and our waitress Tori made sure we were take care of. I got the quesadillas and the salsa was delicious ! It did get pretty packed inside but we got in and out in a timely manner.
