Bankersmith is a blast!
We like to go on Saturdays from 1-4 when their house band, King John and the Peasants, are playing.
Great music with plenty of room for dancing.
Their food is top notch. Today's menu special is crab. I've seen steaks that cover the platter. (Call ahead to verify menu specials.)
If you want a true Texas experience with great live music away from the tourist areas, head to Bankersmith!

Nice vibe, mix of locals and out of towners... Relaxed, but lively chatting, friendly people. Live music. Great backyard area with a fire pit. Dog friendly. Fish & Chips, poutine, prime rib and loaded baked potato were all delicious 😋🤤 We loved Banker & Woody the kitties.

This is great spot to experience
a true local Hill Country tavern that is a short drive from Fredericksburg. We enjoyed the live music and $20 Friday steak special. Excellent!

Had a wonderful time at the crab 🦀 festival. S/O to Vettix for the tickets. Fun times out in the sticks.

The place was good. I wish they had more seating, not run of the crab for the crab fest at still 3 hours from the end of it. Crab was great! It's really difficult getting a wheelchair into the main eartry area, very tight for the chair. Cool atmosphere.

Bought "crab festival" tickets for an event here. Not sure what the tickets were for, because it appeared you could walk right in. Nothing included with ticket price and crab was full time on the menu. Paid over $60 for two people and waited and waited. When I asked where my food was and was told they could not find my food. Then when I was getting a refund so I could leave, they found it cold and old in some back corner. We were hungry so we ate the food. Not great. Crab was a small portion for what you paid and only got a silly little piece of corn. WAY overpriced and not that good. I felt like the whole event was a trick to get me up there to pay for some crab. Even the website video of the event shows a different location...super disappointing. Also watch where you walk, you could fall through the floor...
