Becker Vineyards

Leaving a two star review because the two up-front team members made me and my family feel unwanted. Maybe because we were Hispanic?
She walked out and kicked us out of an empty table saying someone reserved it and ‘left their cellphone there’ implying we stole it.
I sat there with my newborn, close to the fire with zero intentions of stealing - but to be warm.

I hate how she made us feel

My favorite winery we visited!! We did the tasting experience that was ticket-style so you could go back to the bar and redeem your next wine of choice whenever you were ready (rather than be rushed to gulp them down). Lots of options, knowledgeable staff, and beautiful photo opportunities!

We made reservations for our tasting but ended up arriving late (we called to let them know.) At the entrance to the tasting room, we were greeted very warmly and told to take a breath and relax. And we did! We were paired with Dean who did an excellent job of sharing the Becker wines with us. We really enjoyed Dean's presentation and back story about the different wines. If you think you don't like white wines, you must try some of Becker's --made in a French style, not a California style. And all their grapes are from Texas. Try their Chardonnay Reserve!

Becker Vineyards is on our list of "favorites" in the area and we'll be back next time we're in the area. I hope we get Dean again!

Very beautiful winery! Came with Brooke’s bubble bus for my sister bachelorette party! I did want to make known a tall man that had a ponytail who was serving wine did call me a menace to society with no grin or hint to a joke I am one to take a joke don’t get me wrong but I find that very unprofessional and disrespectful honestly especially because I don’t know him and I was having a pleasant calm time with my sister and her friends beautiful winery bad attitude:(

Great service, very reasonable prices, and awesome wines. The tasting package allows you to pick the wines you want to try, and Mike at the bar can really hook you up with substantial pours. 100% recommend it and I'll definitely be coming back.

If you’re visiting Fredericksburg for the first time this is a must. Wine tasting was so good and there was a free tour

Beautiful inside and out. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. Wines, delicious!

The wine is always top notch as well as the service. We are always greeted with a smile and they go out of their way to accommodate. The grounds are spectacular with ample seating and bar service. They do serve charcuterie and other non alcoholic beverages. I can’t say enough about the quality of their wine and how they treat you like family.

Becker vineyard is amazing! I am a NW gal and love my Willamette vineyards and was very surprised by this amazing TX vineyard! Dean, our professional Somm was entertaining, and very knowledgeable! Great conversation, great tour by Mike and beautiful scenery and ambiance. Must come here!

Dean was amazing! The wine here is amazing! Dean took the time to guide us through the different wines and we left with so many delicious bottles to savor and gift. Also check out their lavender fields ands goods! Amazing wine and beautiful scenery, what more can you want?

I've been to Becker about four times now. All of the previous times have been absolutely wonderful. I was planning to spend half of the day there today with our visit to Fredericksburg. I love this place, and was about to assign it five stars. Unfortunately, this last visit kind of killed the whole experience. We came on a day that was light raining, mostly cloudy, decently chilly, with a considerable amount of wind at times. My wife came in an ankle length dress and I wore jeans, but we had to pull out jackets to keep warm. It didn't quite cut it. We purchased a tasting and the individual pours were noticably light in the amount. The charcuterie seemed more offset with crackers than it did with other things. The jam was solid enough to cut through, which told me it was prepared ahead of time. We tried to make the best of it and requested for the outside fireplace to be lit, considering the inside fireplace was currently lit. The bartenders response was a booming voice that laughed a bit and mocked "it's got to be cold for me to do that". The twenty other outside customers all looked my way as it was embarrassing and I'm sure they were all hoping for the fire as well considering they were all in jackets also. When we finally decided we've had enough, we went inside to peruse the store only to be hovered over in an obvious way by the sales rep. Overall it was just not a pleasant and comforting environment and I really hope they were just having an off day. I'll post another review next time I visit, with a lot of hope for improvement.

The vineyard was a very nice and my fiancee loved it! Definitely recommend the NV Port(dessert wine), all the Cabs, and the Inverno!!

Initially I knew I would pick my wines to taste, but did not have much information about the wines so it made it hard to choose. I started asking questions about the vineyard, varietals, etc. Alie, who had not been working there long, was learning the vineyard and was quick to find us answers. She turned us over to Dean. He was a wealth of information and readily answered my questions very patiently giving us information about the varietals they have, their wine maker, and the history of the vineyards. I was not planning on becoming a club member, but after tasting several wines that BOTH my wife & I enjoyed we joined the club. The experience was far better than I expected. From the service to the charcuterie board to the outstanding TEXAS wines we enjoyed. As a person who works in the industry and often works on Dean's side of the counter and being past members of 2 other Texas vineyards, I highly recommend Becker Vineyards! Thank you Dean for a great experience.

We are new to the area and decided to explore. We are so happy we did. We have had the most fun and learned so much from our new friend and wine expert Dean. He made our experience above and beyond what we expected. We are now wine club members and can’t wait to explore more wines from Becker as well as foster our new friendships.
