Amazing experience! The wine was excellent & the venue beautiful. Most important, our wine hostess Paula was the best we’ve ever met!!

The place is beautiful, and everyone who attended us was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and the view is lovely.

The cheese board is good, but I’d add a bit more charcuterie.

What really surprised me was how expensive the wines are compared to what they actually deliver. We would’ve probably bought more bottles, but the prices felt excessive.

Another thing worth mentioning: you’re constantly prompted to tip, even though you do most things yourself: you grab your own wine for each new tasting, pick up your own charcuterie board, etc.

Overall, a pleasant experience, but definitely room for improvement in value and service dynamics.

I cannot say enough great things about Paula. She was so helpful during our wine tasting - I loved everything she recommended. I can tell Paula and the rest of the staff care about each individual guest. As well, the live music and atmosphere was wonderful. I recommend Becker to anyone visiting Fredericksburg!!

We arrived at 5:15 PM excited to visit Becker Vineyards, my husband had never been, and I wanted to share what I thought would be a beautiful Texas wine experience. We’re members at Grape Creek, so we’re very familiar with great service and friendly, educational staff.

Unfortunately, our visit started off on the wrong foot. Paula immediately checked her watch when we walked up, which already felt unwelcoming. I told her I wanted to try a sweet wine, and from the start, her attitude was dismissive and curt. When I asked about the second pour, “What does this one taste like?” she simply pointed at the menu and said, “You can read it.”

Every other vineyard we’ve been to takes pride in educating guests about their wines, the grapes, and the story behind each bottle. Paula made us feel like we were inconveniencing her.

I should have walked out, but I wanted my husband to at least enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed everything.

Paula needs some serious hospitality training, guests should leave feeling welcomed, not brushed off. Disappointing experience all around.

We did the small group tour and tasting today, a lot of fun, very detailed information, Roy was very knowledgeable. Great tasting wines, highly recommend.

Loved, loved, loved this place!! Incredibly peaceful and gorgeous grounds, great live music to fit the vibe, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the kiddos even had a blast! Our rose was also delicious and perfect for the warm day we visited on!

It’s also super nice to find a place that caters to the adult senses but also welcomes your kiddos energy, joy, and laughter with open arms both by the staff and other visitors. Super family and kid friendly!

This place has a special place in my heart. And Don was the best!

Came here about 4 years ago and actually became a member. Was so impressed. Visited today and wow has this gone downhill. You can always tell the quality of any establishment by their bathrooms. They were filthy and had those old school glade fresheners! The tables were all dirty and no one was cleaning them. Ladies working behind the counter were all drinking wine like they were guests. Went into one of their newer warehouses to get a glass of wine and it was like a storage unit for old boxes and trash everywhere. $35 for 2 glasses of wine!! I’m not opposed to price of the experience matches. What a disappointment!

Leaving a two star review because the two up-front team members made me and my family feel unwanted. Maybe because we were Hispanic?
She walked out and kicked us out of an empty table saying someone reserved it and ‘left their cellphone there’ implying we stole it.
I sat there with my newborn, close to the fire with zero intentions of stealing - but to be warm.

I hate how she made us feel

My favorite winery we visited!! We did the tasting experience that was ticket-style so you could go back to the bar and redeem your next wine of choice whenever you were ready (rather than be rushed to gulp them down). Lots of options, knowledgeable staff, and beautiful photo opportunities!
*note we did go in the off-season, January*

We made reservations for our tasting but ended up arriving late (we called to let them know.) At the entrance to the tasting room, we were greeted very warmly and told to take a breath and relax. And we did! We were paired with Dean who did an excellent job of sharing the Becker wines with us. We really enjoyed Dean's presentation and back story about the different wines. If you think you don't like white wines, you must try some of Becker's --made in a French style, not a California style. And all their grapes are from Texas. Try their Chardonnay Reserve!

Becker Vineyards is on our list of "favorites" in the area and we'll be back next time we're in the area. I hope we get Dean again!
