Well let’s start off with I really wanted to love this place. With that said I had made reservations for me and my wife a month out for our 25 year anniversary. We were coming in from out of town and we were looking forward to an evening to celebrate our special day with a steak dinner in a romantic setting. Just after we sat down for our 8pm reservations our waiter had stated that they had multiple drinks and wine that they were out of. No worries we ended up ordering different drinks and moved on to enjoy our night. After the drinks were delivered the waiter then asked if we were ready to order ( the menu is small so there isn’t much of a selection, so keep that in mind. Maybe 8 items in total). We said yes and we were about to order two of the three steak menu items on the list when we were told at the time the table next to us ordered all their steak options and that we would have to choose one of the other options left on the menu. That became the WTF moment of our experience!!! No “Sorry” or “Our Apologies” just a “It is what it is” mentality. We sat there finished our one drink and left with limited options left to help fix our evening that Chase’s Place completely ruined !!! Why open when you can’t deliver on what you are in the service to do?! Stay with local business that are here to support customers and not out to create a fake atmosphere of sophistication where they can even provide the basics. THANKS FOR NOTHING !!!!

Such a fun and great atmosphere. Amazing drinks, amazing food and amazing employees!! The owner even stopped by our table and talked to us for 15-20 minutes, he is awesome! Make sure to give Doug and Jenna an extra tip if you see them and of course, say hi to Chase!

While every other place is trying to be different by being trendy or kitschy, this place consistently delivers a palpable (and palatable) difference: unique and tasty cocktails, friendly service and a seasonal menu with specials when you want something extra. Truffle fries 👌🏻 and the best whiskey selection in town.

This place is very unique! Travis makes the best drinks I have ever had. If you love margaritas go try the 1836 Margarita. We didn’t eat food this time around but I have never had a bad meal here. You need to give them a try!

We went in with a group and enjoyed a nice dinner. (I will say, one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had.) When it came time to pay, we split our check into two parties, but the waitress got confused and put incorrect items on each check. When we were asking her to correct it, we noticed we were charged for mustard, which isn’t a big deal because it’s only $0.50, but the burger came with it and we ordered it on the side instead of on the burger. (We did not order extra.) Again, not a big deal, but more of a principle thing. We pointed it out to the waitress and she was very frustrated and said that the chef told her to charge us, but that she would remove it. Then after we paid, we noticed she had already included gratuity, which is fine since we were a large party of 8, but she didn’t tell us, so we tipped 40% for mediocre service. Luckily we noticed before we left and asked her to void our checks so we could remove the additional gratuity, but it took her 30-40 additional minutes to do so. (Not exaggerating on timing - we were waiting for FOREVER because they were having technical issues.) Finally it was corrected and we left, but noticed several days later that the original checks were not voided and we were charged twice, so we had to call the bank. A good example of good food being overshadowed by poor service, which tainted our experience. My mother-in-law left a similar review and the restaurant commented that the poor review was all over a $0.50 mustard charge, which is disingenuous and inaccurate.

The service was good considering how busy it was. The food was very good. The dessert was amazing. It was the caramel coconut cake.

Chases is amazing cocktail bar in Fredericksburg. We didnt have reservation, but owner was able to get us in at the bar. Had two of the best drinks we’ve ever had (perfect balanced martini and Ghost tequila drink). Chimichurra street tacos (pichana steak tips) were out of this world. Atmosphere is perfect. Cant wait to come again.

A place where you feel welcome, Chase is a welcoming host, very attentive to details, the staff are involved and seem to love the place at least as much as Chase does.
The atmosphere is pleasant, it allows both a casual and an occasion outfit.
The food is very good, I think the best meal I've had since coming to the US. The varied menu and the very balanced dishes gave us an almost Italian experience.
Cocktails have their own interpretation that will surprise you in a pleasant and original way.

Who Are-You

We visited the establishment on a Saturday evening and were fortunate to be seated almost immediately. Our placement in the cocktail lounge area allowed us to enjoy a private atmosphere, which was quite pleasant.
I would rate this venue 4 stars, primarily due to the attentive service provided by our waitress, Sarah. Her promptness in replenishing our cocktails and addressing our menu inquiries greatly facilitated our decision-making process, especially given the frequent updates to the menu.
However, we did experience extended wait times; the Helotes Dip took over 30 minutes to arrive, and the dozen oysters took nearly an hour. This felt excessive, particularly as the oysters were not accompanied by crackers. After almost two hours, our steak sandwiches were served. While they were decent, they could have been more tender.
Despite the prolonged wait, the cocktails were outstanding, and the bottle of Chianti recommended by our waitress complemented the flavors of the steak sandwiches beautifully, all at a reasonable price. We look forward to returning for our next family night.

This is a must stop spot in Fbg. Farm to table. Ingredients are as good as it gets. I like my steak cooked to perfection and they nailed the rare plus steak frites on the head. Enjoyed the ceasar sales and the fresh oysters and coupe glasses of Chianti

Sarah knew the menu inside and out and her recommendations were on point.

10 out of 10.

Say hello to chase he is usually there. And ask for a shot of Farmet at the enjoy of dinner. Def settled the belly and gives you the good food feeling of a meal well deserved.
