This heavy metal rock bar is a total gem! The drinks are absolutely wonderful, and the bartender is just awesome. It's a hidden spot that's worth discovering for anyone looking for a laid-back hangout with great vibes. I found it by accident while walking the streets with my girlfriends the first day of our visit in town. We came back the rest of our trip every night! The drinks were absolutely delicious! and I cant stop raving about the atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in town!

Had a great time here last night. I was very excited to see a rock pub and patiently waited for it to open at 6pm. As per expectations it was dark inside with loads of metal memorabilia on all the walls. Even better it was playing great metal music all night. Interesting chats with the owner, from Luxembourg (there's an interesting story there), as well as a really nice guy called Adrian and his family. As I'd forgotten all my music when we left for our North American tour, it was great to top up my metal batteries. Good selection of beers of which several were dark. Skull toilet brush holders just put the metal icing on the thrashing cake.

Der Daiwel is a sweet dive bar with tons of beer options ranging from domestics to sours to IPAs and Belgiums. The vibe is cool and quirky with a dose of heavy metal music. The owner is awesome too. We'll be back.

I've met Vicky, the founder of the pub during my trip. There is not much to review about. Southern Texas has a lot of German towns and this is one of them. Heavy metal showcases has been happening every weekend she said. Once in the blue moon heavy metal comes in everyone lives especially Cowboy from hell flashed back my childhood. Cocktails are great. The vibrancy, revolution and power of Luxembourg flag is hanging there. Even her dad was American, as European nationalism, I strongly feel her passion of Europe rather than Murica :) ( this is typical for Europeans ) All Texans welcomed the badass sisters which that is true Americans things to do ! Don't forget to say Hi if you are passing by this Wine Country hill of Texas. Danke !

Probably one of the coolest bars ever! Gothic/metal theme and the mood is just perfect! Even if that's not your vibe, it's an interesting place to stop for a break in the AC and a cold drink.
