It is a lovely little German restaurant on the main street in Fredericksburg. The potato salad was great. Sweets really enjoyed the schnitzel. The red cabbage was startlingly clove forward, unfortunately.

German cuisine but if youre used to the jägerschnitzel back home this is pretty different... Supposedly you can order in german but our waitress just starkes at us with a blank Expression so maybe its only the owner who speaks it.Still, very unique.

A sad tale of customer service, or rather, non-existent customer service. We waited over 5 minutes while three waitresses neither made eye contact with us nor spoke to us. So we left and told the people behind us. We cannot comment on the food as we were never given the opportunity to try it. Pretty sad, especially since we were looking forward to trying some authentic German food. Do not bother!

I ordered the pork chops, sauerkraut and German potato salad. The pork chop looked and tasted like a ham steak. The gravy on the "porkchop" was bland. The sauerkraut had really good flavor not to tart. The potato salad was sweet, which tasted strange. But it did have good flavor. I ordered the German chocolate cake. What a disappointment. It was a nice deep chocolate color, but the cake was bland. The icing had the right color but again not must flavor. I couldn't believe a basket of bread was not included with your meal the bread had to be purchased separately.My husband left still feeling hungry. If I wouldn't have gotten desert I would have still been hungry too. We won't go back. The majority of the food we had was bland and the portion size was to small especially for the price we paid.
