This winery/distillery has a very nice selection. The two different bars was definitely confusing and a bit inconvenient. Also, I was told to have a tasting I would have to go next door. I didn't wander around because it seemed like too much work and it was pretty crowded when I visited. I would like to come back at a less busy time to figure out all my options. Besides logistics, this is a very nice spot. It's cozy and has additional lounge seating in the back near the cocktail bar and bathroom. The customer service was just okay, the bartenders seemed a bit rushed and the greeting was very scripted at the wine bar. I did however appreciate the refill when I accidentally spilled my rose!

We went to ES on a slow evening. It has a cool ambiance (couch, tables, chairs, 2 bars, patio in the back, dim-lit lighting). We sat along a bar and ordered a mother pucker (great vodka drink with enough raspberry's to taste like raspberries) , Smokey Old Fashion (really good) , Sazarac (good but a little sweet) tasting each other's. These are solid, good drinks, but felt they were overprices. Before we finishing our cocktails, we were thinking about drinking a glass of wine next. We ask the bartender, for a wine menu. (You need to go to the other bar for that. It's against the law to sell wine at this one ...because it's a distillery...I don't know why) We said that we've never heard of that, but ok...we just wanted to look at the menu. (We don't have them here...you have to go to the other bar) ... do we need to close out and open another tab if we decide to get some wine? (Nooo it's on the same computer system, same tab) ????? This is a rather narrow venue. The other bar is only feet away on the other side from where we were sitting. It's not a busy evening. After enjoying our cocktails, we decided to leave. Not in the mood for rigmarole!

Absolutely loved this place! The general manager Daniella was so professional and knowledgeable, the live performance by Diego was grade A (he will be a star one day) and the wine was to die for! The ambience in this place was phenomenal, the hubby and I will be back!

Service as Disappointing as the Owner After looking forward to relaxation and good drinks, our experience at this cocktail bar was deeply disheartening. We found ourselves waiting over 30 minutes for a cocktail, a wait that was made more frustrating by the observation that several guests who arrived after us were served before us. Our bartender was inexplicably sent to the back, and in their absence, we reached out to the owner to inquire about our order. Unfortunately, the response we received was curt and dismissive, with a brusque assurance that our drinks would be "your order is in and will be out shortly." As we continued to wait, a new bartender approached us, unaware of our previous order, and asked what we would like to drink. This lack of communication and coordination was the last straw for us, prompting our decision to leave the establishment in search of a more welcoming environment where the service matches the quality of the cocktails. It's disheartening when the anticipation of a pleasant afternoon out is marred by neglectful service and an unwelcoming attitude from the management. Hospitality is as much about the experience as it is about the product being offered, and in this instance, both were found wanting.

Miguel is the best bartender I've had in the entirety of my short existence. The drinks he makes ignites flavors in my imagination that I didn't know exist. This is the place to come if you want to expand your pallet and enjoy yourself. Everyone here is a true master of their craft. Never have I been disappointed in the service at Elk store. This place is truly one of a kind and will change the way you experience life. The bartenders and the drinks will unlock doors you didn't know you could open. If there is one place in Fred I would visit its Elk store.

This is one of my all time favorite cocktail bars!! We stumbled in off the Fredericksburg strip and this spot feels so secluded and private. The dim lighting, cobblestone walls, large curtains, and large bars give this place the best ambiance. The service is incredible and I love that they distill their own liquors. I highly recommend the espresso martini - they make it with an incredible amount of foam. Also, a great dirty martini! This is the type of bar you want to snag a seat and sip for a few hours. Both times I've come back here there has also been live music - a nice touch! Diego preformed last weekend and did a phenomenal job (Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble covers). Such a lovely place to end the evening with a cocktail or wine. Can't wait to come back!!!

Great place to grab some cocktails and escape the hustle and bustle going on outside. Nice selection of craft cocktails and wine. I had a Smoked Old Fashion which was pretty cool to watch them make, see video attached. Several people in my party had various cocktails - all were amazing. The vibe is laid back and relaxing. The music ties everything together just right. Been to Fredericksburg twice so far and have visited this place both times. Will definitely be on my go-to list every visit moving forward. Well done Elk Store.
