Fun winery to visit! Very lively with live entertainment, line dancing and drinks! A very different experience from other wineries that we visited!
Absolutely my favorite spot in Fredericksburg! We had an incredible time. Sarah was amazing, funny, and kept our visit so fun and engaged. Love the beautiful well kept grounds, the photo opportunities, and even though Freedo the Donkey only liked us when we had carrot offerings... he was pretty cool too! đđ„°
Such a great experience! The team at FatAss literally went above and beyond for us. I left the box of H-E-B crackers and a bottle of wine, and they tracked me down at the next stop and opened up the winery after hours just for me to grab my bottle. Such an amazing staffing company! Thank you!
It is a very chill place. Not as fancy as many of the other wineryâs. We dislike dry wine, but fat ass has dry or sweet wine tasting options. The wines you get with the tastings are set, so you canât pick which ones you want to try. Nina was amazing and fun. She did have a group buying a ton of bottles and signing up for the wine club but was still attentive to us. They had a food truck outside with tacos and quesadillas. We ended up taking a bottle of the mimosa home. They have so many fun flavors including a coffee flavored wine . They will let you taste a splash of the wines they have at the bars although they donât have ALL the flavors. The DJ was playing a mix of country, Latin, and rap which felt like we were at a club. They also have a bunch of cute and funny shirts, hats, and cups for sale. Weâll for sure be back.
It's nice that they have wine and beer. We love the merchandise and a great cold beer. Plus the staff are very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. My husband loves the old cars and 55 gallon barrel drum tables.
Really fun winery, especially as a stop on a bachelorette wine tour! Super fun for large groups or parties because there was something for everyone. Beer, wine, food, fun DJ, and even line dancing lessons! If you're looking for a fun, party winery to visit or just something more lively than the usual quiet tasting rooms, would highly recommend this place!
Didnât get to try the wine â the second we walked in we were told we needed to wait outside (7 lb dog was in the carriage of our stroller).
Their website says, in its first sentence, that they are a âdog friendlyâ vineyards.
It was noon on a Tuesday âand 100+ degrees. Not busy.
Learn to be friendly and accommodating. Maybe donât advertise yourselves as âdog friendlyâ when you arenât
Would give negative stars if I could.
We always stop here and it's always AMAZING
It was delicious I absolutely loved it.
Sarah was awesome thanks for the great service and suggesting the coffee wine its phenomenal!

When we walked in they were brewing. The smell of burnt mash was overwhelming. We were the only people there, which should have been a clue. My wife and I had a flight and our adult kids had a beer. None of us finished what we had ordered. The peach and Irish beer both had a strong taste on the back of the palate of burnt toast. The brew master needs to check their process, they are over roasting. I am from the area and wont come back, nor would I buy their beer in a retail setting. I would not and could not recommend a sub par burnt beer.
Atmosphere was relaxed and the employees were amazing. Great stop. Highly recommend
Awesome late afternoon vibe!
We went on a Sunday of a Memorial Day weekend. Iâve heard great things about the winery but was a little disappointed with the service.
We waited at the bar to do the tasting for about 10 minutes. My friend was told by one of 3 bartenders that sheâd be with a wine club member so itâd be 20+ minutes before sheâd get to him. I then walked to the other side of the bar with my husband to another bartender. A small spot big enough for me and my husband to squeeze into finally opened up and we stood there for like 8 minutes or so. Then the couple next to us left and when we spread out, we were first asked âAre you the group of 5?â We were a group of 5 and I waved our friends over as she was asking. Then we were told there was a reservation coming in for a group of 5 and they needed our standing location to service them. I shared that weâve been waiting awhile and I was a little disappointed. After what felt like stalling, she finally served us. It seemed like an anxiety inducing moment for the bartender too.
But there desperately needs to be a better organizational system for guests vs tours/ reservations. Itâs currently just a âwalk upâ system with no line for walk-in guests.
Alternatively, they could have smaller cups for the wine to provide an entire flight at once. Also, if the bartender had just started servicing us the moment we walked up to the small spot, we couldâve been in and out so quickly.
Overall, I do not recommend my experience. If youâre going here, you likely need to come when itâs not as busy. To me, the wine wasnât worth the disappointing service. It doesnât seem like itâs the bartenders fault but rather a fault in their system or processes
A fun place to visit. Very clean and well decorated. The beer is ok but there are better options in the area.
