Loved this place so much until my experience this weekend. We come here multiple times a year when we travel to Fredericksburg. However, today we overheard an employee speaking, with who I assume is a local, about how they are ready to have the tourists out of here. I’m almost positive the Fredericksburg economy thrives on tourism. Making “tourists“, if you even consider us Texas locals tourists, feel like they are below you is ridiculous. Won’t be coming here again.

Kaffe Haus is a nice coffee spot where you can get a delicious latte and buy a good pastry. I also like their interior; it is nice and great to drink a cup of coffee there.

We watched the line all morning til was what we deemed doable and were very happy we did. The staff was super friendly, muffins were huge and though my first pour wasn't hot hot like I like it, they traded for a super hot fresh brew with an apology and a smile. I'll be back for sure and won't be afraid of the line.

this was our last coffee shop stop before leaving fredericksburg, and it was a great choice! i had a matcha, which comes unsweetened (which i definitely prefer so it has more of that authentic grassy flavor) and just had a bit of honey added to it. it came out amazing. it’s a drink many coffee shops, even craft ones, don’t get right but the barista here nailed it. service was also friendly and efficient, and the shop itself is very cute. i left a very happy camper! next time we’re in town i know where to go (-:

It might have been an off day for them but the coffee was awful (tasted old and watered down) and the staff seemed unconnected. The pastries were delicious.

So delicious ? I got the pumpkin cream cold brew and a macadamia cookie; it was amazing! They make their pumpkin cream in house and it was amazing. The cookie was gooey and chocolate-y. I love the warm fall vibes.
