Hands down, one of the best all around FBG wineries. Nikhila clearly has a gift in winemaking…I didn’t taste one wine she made that I didn’t love, and I can’t say that about many wineries (including Napa and Bordeaux). Don’t miss out on this very special place!
Visited Kalasi as part of a wine tour. We really enjoyed hearing the story of the wine and how engaged and helpful the staff was. The wines were delicious and really enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved Kalasi!! Dana and Amelia were amazing! The Sangiovese and Kanchi blends are to die for! 10/10 recommend!
Did wine tasting with the owner "Grower’s / Winemaker’s Seated Private Tasting" and what a treat. We learned so much about the wines, growing grapes in Texas and making wine. Even though we have been to a lot of vineyards in the USA and Europe this was a great learning experience and high recommend it.
My boyfriend and I visited Kalasi for the first time and it was amazing! We tried the Wine and chocolate pairings, which did not disappoint. Dana took care of us, she was attentive and very personable. We’ll be back soon! Thank you, Dana!
Wonderful wine, knowledgeable staff and a fantastic Wine and Chocolate pairing
This place was so lovely and cute with amazing wine! Laura was so knowledgeable. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our wine tasting here :)
First time at this winery, we had a wonderful experience and the wine was delicious. We will be back
The wines at Kalasi are excellent, especially if you love reds. We came to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Our favorite was the Re d'Italia, but the best part of the tasting was Laura! She was an amazing host and an incredible storyteller. I highly recommend coming here for a tasting and walking away with a bottle to not only get great wine but to also support an Indian woman owned viticulturist and seller. Nikhila honors so much of her family, culture, and heritage in her business and she deserves your business.
My financee and I visited Kalasi over the weekend and enjoyed every second of it. Our tasting guide Dana was very personable and knowledgeable. We had great conversation about all different things in life while learning so much about the wines. We really enjoyed majority of the wines we tried in the standard and premium wine tasting and picked up a bottle to take home with us. Highly recommend!

Phenomenally wine tasting experience. Our wine tasting supervisor Dana was incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about the wine she was serving. This made for great conversation and made the wine tasting feel more intimate, which should be expected for a boutique winery in my opinion.
On top of that, the wine was incredible - so much so that I became a member of the wine club which would be the first time ever out of several years of visiting wineries from the west coast to the south. My favorite by far was the Sagratino optically sorted variation (which is a neat concept)
5/5 would recommend to anyone who enjoys wine from white to red!
For my girlfriend and I, this was our first tasting ever. Laura gave us the best service we could’ve asked for. Her excitement for our first time, made us even more excited. We will visit again!
My boyfriend surprised me with this wine tasting for our one year anniversary. A first time experience for both of us, and we have such an amazing experience! Laura was our hostess and she was full of stories and valuable knowledge! She made our first time wine tasting experience so fun and light and there was no judgement on any of our newbie questions! She really loves what she does and is such a sweet soul! We did the chocolate and wine pairing and loved it! Will definitely be going back! :)
Amazing wine tasting, one of the first I’ve been too where every wine was unique and rich in flavors. The service was beyond exceptional, full of great information about the vineyard and each wine! Highly recommend!
This turned into an unexpectedly wonderful part of my and my partner's trip to Fredericksburg. We'd planned to go hike Enchanted Rock and then grab lunch, plus, just for fun, do a wine tasting. After hiking a few hours, I felt grubby and a little foxed, but we decided to go anyways.
I can't say I'm an expert on wine, but I do know what I like. In looking for places to visit, I stumbled across Kalasi Cellars and the tag on their website drew me in: "Where Tradition Meets Innovation with a Touch of India". Why wouldn't I give that a try?
There's plenty of parking on site, and the tasting rooms are a short drive from the Old Downtown of Fredericksburg. I was a little hesitant going in because we were the only people there on a grayish Tuesday afternoon... might it feel awkward? How wrong I was!
We were given a great greeting from Dana, who was working tastings that day, and sat and enjoyed and learned about Kalasi's wine. The different wines we enjoyed were all great, and Dana's expertise and accessibility helped us to understand not just what we were drinking but why it made sense. She was the best salesperson ever: because she was zero pressure, I absolutely wanted to buy some wine, and I did. It's good enough that when time permits, I think I'll join their membership program.
My partner and I felt very welcome indeed - more like old friends than a customer, and I can't recommend this highly enough.
