This place is AMAZING! The atmosphere is great, the service was fantastic and the food was phenomenal! The prime rib was the BEST I've ever eaten...and I make it every Christmas. The garlic buttered grilled shrimp was great too. Miranda was my server and she was soooo wonderful. Solo travelers often experience less than the best service....but she treated me like royalty. I will definitely return...and buy more wine to bring home!!

This place was on our Wine Shuttle stop so we stopped in to try a glass. We weren’t sure what we wanted but said we just wanted a glass. Ken offered us a taste of a wine and my wife said she wanted the full glass of that. I didn’t like it so he poured something else which I took a glass of. We bought 2 bottles only to find out we had been charged for 2 tastings and a glass but then credited back a tasting. We made a comment but were told that a tasting was credited. We didn’t do a tasting. Felt very taken advantage of here and would not come back or recommend.

In addition they were very funny about which person served next. It wasn’t like a discreet thing. You could watch every time someone came in they went through this cycle of names audibly naming all the servers. We barely got any attention- in fact we were asked if we were tragedy influencers. We don’t even look like influencers. Maybe 290 Wine Shuttle needs to pull them off the list. Lesson learned for us - too many wineries to spend time in one that takes advantage of patrons.

Service was fine until we said we would share a tasting. We told the first wine tender that that's what we wanted and she gave us 2 glasses. When our actual server came over, he took a glass from us, and made sure everyone else at the bar was served. We were sort of an afterthought with him. The wines were ok, but in truth, of the hundreds of vineyards and wineries I've visited all over the US, it was absolutely no more than a 3 of 5. No real legs in most of the reds, some bitterness in the as well. Disappointing.

We did a wine tasting took awhile to come back with a new pour. Wine was good. Not the greatest atmosphere…we were going to try the restaurant but left because it wasn’t a great experience.

This is one of my all-time favorite wineries to go to in the Fredericksburg area

Stopped here for a tasting with the wife and kids. Very family friendly. Tim is excellent and quite knowledgeable. The wines here are very authentically Texan. 10/10 atmosphere, wine and location. Will be coming back.

Wine-mediocre at best and pricey for a $10 quality bottle of wine.
Food-really good. Prime rib was done perfectly and generous portion. The chicken jalapeño poppers were delicious, Brussels sprouts were decent. Mashed potatoes, however, were scorched.
Beware-menu prices do not reflect what comes on the bill. All sealed were $5 more each!
Get a print out. We paid it and didn’t make a fuss, but just be aware.
Opinion: skip the wines, get the steaks, and monitor your bill.

This turned out to be our favorite winery in Fredericksburg! It’s not on 290, but just right off of it so very easy to get to. It was also not packed like other winery’s right on of the highway. Sheri was an amazing hostess, and our favorite part was that they are family friendly which is hard to come by. The wines were excellent, and the vibes were perfect!

We purchased the Wine & Wildflower Passport 2025, as we've done the last 9 years. Never have we been turned away due to not having a reservation. We were told that time was needed to prepare the tasting for our party of 6. I could understand if it was on a weekend, but this was a Tuesday at 1:45p. Neither was it busy, there were only 2 ladies there. With the plethora of wineries, I can't imagine being denied a tasting, therefore I cannot give a favorable recommendation.

Went here on the wine passport and were turned away because we had no Rez. Two people only were in the tasting room. Totally understand if the place had been busy but since it was empty it’s a head scratcher. Said they needed time to get a tasting ready but we could buy a glass if we wanted. Not sure how pouring 6 tastings is more work than pouring 6 glasses but in any event 6 potential customers left disappointed. And of the 6 only 2 had the passport so that was money lost. Looked like a cool place but can’t make a review or rec since no sips given.

6 people walk into an empty tasting room. We were told no tasting without a reservation. If they were busy, I would totally understand. However, with an empty tasting room this made little sense. I know it is passport season, but several of our group had no passport and would be paying for tasting. Hard pressed to make any recommendation in their favor.

Great location, great pours and super friendly staff. I’ll be back soon for many of their hearty reds. Delish!
