We went on a Sunday night, and the place was lively and nearly full. Service was good and attentive with several staff checking on us without being obtrusive. The duck shnitzel was fantastic; I would get it again. We also had sauerkraut and German potato salad—both very good. The wines were good. The beer is a bit pricey, unfortunately. Overall, it was a great meal and worth a visit.

Went with my dad so he could try German food. He had the sauerkraut balls (a dish they created). He absolutely loved it. They looked like hush puppies or falafel with a drizzled, creamy mustard sauce. He and I have only ever eaten canned sauerkraut -- which I dislike. They make they're sauerkraut daily and it's delicious! I generally avoid meat and dairy, so I wasn't sure what I could eat there. Our server Violet and the chef came up with a delicious sauteed melange of artichoke hearts, mushrooms, onions, new potatoes, grape tomatoes, and English peas. It was as good as it looks in the photo!

This place is fantastic. Authentic food. Great people. The building is really neat too with the exposed rafters and open kitchen. We were very comfortable, until we were done. We had scallops and the pretzel, and sour kraut balls. I had the duck schnitzel which came with spaetzle and red cabbage. Two of our party had the jager schnitzel. One has pergogis. Everything was fantastic. We didn't finish it all and hobbled out, belts loosened, and happy.

Not only is the food amazing, the service is excellent, they were able to seat us regardless of a full reservation system, and the atmosphere was unforgettable! We can’t wait to return.

Had dinner here on Labor Day weekend. We were too late to make a reservation, so we had to wait about 40 minutes for a table on their busiest day of the year.

Everyone was very nice and mindful of us. The Host let us know our status a few times. We ended up eating at the bar as it was the first opening and was just fine.

Service was excellent, everyone we dealt with was so nice. We had a exceptional dinner. Fried Sauerkraut Balls with Sausage and then Jiegerschnitzel (pork) with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything was fresh and very tasty.

We were staying at a cabin about 20 minutes away. As soon as I walked into the cabin I realized I didn't have my wallet. I called and although they were closing in 15 minutes the bartender told me just knock on the door if it was locked. I got there about 10 minutes after they stopped serving but the door was open as people finished their dinners. I had had a bit more cash than I usually carry as well and my license and credit cards. I talked briefly to the bartender and was so happy I got my stuff back I forgot to give him the $10 I was going to. Well, the whole experience was great and we'd eat there again in a second.

This isn't a bad restaurant per say, but my wife and I were both disappointed. The entrees were good, but I don't think they were great value for the price. The reason this is a 3 vs a 4 star review though is because the deserts tasted like the pavlova tasted like it was pulled from a freezer and not made fresh which is not acceptable.

My wife and I were in town to celebrate her milestone birthday and went to Otto's to celebrate. we sat inside at a cute window table and enjoyed a great selection of items from their menu. We are both vegetarian and were able to enjoy a great meal and wonderful dining experience.

A staple visit of mine when visiting Fredericksburg. Been here a few times over the years and it always leaves me full and happy. The duck schnitzel is one of my favourite dishes. The group I was with loved the lemon cake (zitronenkuchen) so would definitely recommend that.

I had previously been here and had enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this time very unpleasant experience.

Showed up with a reservation. Patio area was mostly empty. When we asked to sit outside, the host refused stating that there was only one waiter.

While we are waiting for drinks, we noticed people were getting tables outside. We left. Will not be coming back.

Dog friendly. Gave our pup her own water bowl for the hot day. Food was delicious.

A fine German restaurant in Fredericksburg, TX. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. The service was 5 stars. The only thing that I didn't like as much about this place was how small and cramped the interior was. It also seemed to be kind of hot inside (perhaps from all the body heat accumulated). Other than that, a good experience.

The waiter with the bun and the beard was rude to our table. We did not enjoy the interaction, however the food is absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere is cute. Did not appreciate the attitude, better communication if something was bothering him would have been greatly appreciated.
