Driving in from the Empty Cross and stopped at this Restaurant to eat and I was surprised. It was a clean place and the food was con madre .Im sure coming back .I highly recommend

Service was extremely slow, I ordered an agua de mango and it tasted very watered down. Gringa de pastor needed had no flavoring. Only good thing was the cantarito, street tacos were just okay…not worth the price. The tables didn’t get clean at a timely manner limiting the available seating, not much seating space for the amount of people in establishment.

Almost felt like a tourist trap and left disappointed. Came from out of town and was deciding between this place and Whataburger with my girlfriend. I convinced her to try something local so we tried this place cause there was tons of great reviews and it was opened late night. I see lots of reviews saying best tacos ever but I hardly agree with that.. I might’ve came on an off day maybe.
Prices were decent. Tortillas were overcooked, dry and hard. Meat was bit dry and very very bland, had to salt the whole plate. Got the Campechano, Suadero and the pastor.
For the salsa bar, their guacamole wasn’t really guacamole? It was a watery green sauce that was also very bland and a bit tasteless tbh.
They did give a decent amount of meat which is good. The cucumbers, potato and grilled onions were pretty solid. Everything but the tacos unfortunately. Personally did not have a 4.8 star experience with the food. Most customers here are probably white people who haven’t had authentic tacos and don’t like seasoning? Just assuming considering Fredericksburgs demographic. That’s probably where the 4.8 stars come from
