I like the place, but things go wrong so frequently. It is slow to get food, and when you do, issues are pretty common. I placed a to-go order and when I got home with the food, I opened the box and there's no bun. How do you forget a bun on a hamburger? I feel like they are understaffed in the

The loaded fries had been off for a while but I’m glad to see they’re back, seasoning usually isn’t the same twice in a row but still good.

We stopped in for a couple of drinks before our dinner reservations next door. The service here was decent hence the two stars. However, one of the drinks we ordered was a large frozen Rosé. Basically an alcoholic icee out of the machine. It happened to be the most expensive drink at $18 but we figured a large would be worth the money since we were sharing. See the picture for what I received. An $18 icee in a 12oz glass. I have eaten at countless expensive restaurants over the years but I can’t remember the last time I was this frustrated at overpaying for a drink (especially at a low-key chill little hole in the wall). Won’t be back unfortunately.

Ordered 3 orders of fries with ranch and 1 pulled pork sandwich. Would have been good to know that the fries would be served at room temp and the pull pork sandwich was actually pulled from the floor of a dumpster in the middle of winter. Save the time and money, chew on your toenails.

The food was really great… kudos to the chef! However, be prepared to seat yourself, order online, pay online and rarely have service for - well anything.Yet they wanted a tip?I’m usually a 20% plus tipper for service- I just didn’t think there was anyone to actually tip for any service( we didn’t have bar drinks. )Note: the staff was super friendly- I think that this is the just expectation of the management (?) and feel the staff could actually earn more tips for actually services if provided

We went to Tubby’s today after visiting the Pacific War Museum. It was during spring break and the restaurant was very busy. The staff was not prepared for the amount of people they had. We placed our order and waited more than 50 minutes without another word from any staff. I had to go get my wife and I our own drinks. After nearly an hour, I went and asked about or food. She went to the back and brought out or food. The food was decent. The atmosphere is cool. The staff were woefully prepared for a busy lunch rush. Terrible service. Will not return.

Nice folk, very slow to deliver the food. They were overwhelmed with customers. Quite pricey food. Food tasted great.

Tubby’s has been a place to frequent in Fredricksburg for their tacos. The tacos were recently taken off the menu. I ordered a burger. It was delivered cold and raw. When the waitress checked in on us, we told her that the burgers were too raw. She sent them back to the kitchen. The second time around they were delicious.Parking: Street parking in front of restaurant.

Very cute place for casual dining. My spouse had an excellent chopped salad while I had an exemplary Bleu cheese and mushroom burger, with French fries. We washed our food down with an amazing fresh brewed peach iced tea. We were very pleased with everything at Tubby's.Kid-friendliness: There was an outdoor play area for children.

We went to eat at Tubby's but the service was horrible the waitress was racist we sit outside and it was freezing that day, the waitress started saying they don't take credit card only cash, then she started saying smart remarks, my husband ask for sugar she said we don't have any, the inside of the restaurant empty everyone left we got up and went inside and as we were sitting they told us we couldn't sit inside my husband told them why not, they said because you can't my husband replied who's paying so we are sitting here, and we noticed they had sugar on every table, and we just look at each other and comment about the sugar, they got mad and were just staring at us we were about 8 people, they made us feel so uncomfortable and when we ask for the bill the over charge us we pay over 300 dollars for 1 and 2 tacos each not all of them ate. So we pay and left but, we will never go back and will not recommend anyone there, to much racism.

We enjoyed the cute patio with our pooch! The staff was friendly and attentive. We had queso fries and a couple burgers, all of which was super yummy and fresh!

This place has gone *way* downhill- it used to be one of the only places in Fredericksburg to get fresh & flavorful tacos, and the burgers & sandwiches were fantastic too.Unfortunately they've removed the tacos from the menu, and seriously shrink-flated the food- the BBQ sandwich I got had less than half as much meat as it did ~2 months ago before the menu change, and the salad my wife usually gets shrank noticeably & changed from a lovely vinaigrette to being soaked in bleu cheese dressing. The hamburger patties are advertised as 1/4 lb (down 33% from 6 oz) and they charged us $8 to add a paltry amount of fried chicken to the salad. My sandwich was sufficiently thin to prompt my wife to look across and ask if I was enjoying my $17 snack. The bill for 2 people with no appetizers and no drinks except water added up to $44 ($50 with tip).I hate to say it, but we will not be returning, after being regular customers since the opening in 2015.
