Our first experience here last year was a great one, however we had an undesirable experience here last night, despite hoping to have a great one to celebrate our anniversary. We had to wait over 30 minutes past our 8:15 p.m. reservation time to be sat at our table, which we didn't mind so much. Then, our waiter came across as being very perturbed at having been sat a new table, and was very curt in his interactions with us. Despite that, we ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer to start dinner off with, both of which were served promptly, which was nice. We then ordered dinner. However, not even two sips of wine and a bite or two into the appetizer they were already delivering our entrees. I requested that they hold on serving our entrees for a bit to allow us time to enjoy our appetizer, and for the next five minutes we were asked no less than three times if we were ready for our meals, despite clearly still having a nearly full appetizer and barely touched first pours of wine on our table. We were then made to feel uncomfortable for our request, as though our expectations of wanting to enjoy a normal paced dinner was a problem, so we just decided to settle our bill for what we had consumed and then we left. We didn't receive a thank you, an apology, or even a simple rationale explaining the circumstances that contributed to the sub-par service and experience we received. For this caliber of a fine dining restaurant, this was certainly not an acceptable experience, so needless to say, we won't be dining here again.

Amazing experience. When you walk into the second level which is the main entry you are greeted by a beautiful chandelier tree. We ate at the bistro and had the duck ... words can not describe how amazing our dinner was. The decor of the restaurant and store are exquisite ... simply beautiful. The staff are very conscientious of their patrons to ensure you have amazing experience.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised. We were given a 30 minute wait time, which wasn't so bad for a Friday night without a reservation. The place was packed when we arrived so we decided to walk along Main St while we waited for a text alert. The atmosphere was nice - good lighting, music, wine selection, but the place was LOUD! Restroom upstairs was very clean and comfortable. The service was good - lots of water refills, friendly staff. The food was phenomenal! We ordered the mixed charcuterie board and both ordered the braised akaushi beef. The beef was so tender and the polenta and carrots paired perfectly with it. The desserts brought to other tables looked delicious, I wish we had room for some! Prices were higher than I'd typically like to spend but exceptions can be made for a special event. All in all, great experience and delicious food.

Disappear from Main Street and into this classy basement getaway. We had fermented tea and Beef Carpaccio; 'twas noice

Always an amazing experience at Vaudeville Bistro! The food is consistently amazing, service is on point, and the atmosphere is lovely. We love the burrata salad, the octopus appetizer, the pizzas, and the braised beef and polenta! It's all great, you really can't go wrong. My only wish is that they'd round out the wine list a bit with a few more options.

It's almost impossible not to be curiously lured into Vaudeville with its enormous and shiny chandelier right by the entrance! This entire building is the epitome of classic and upscale /high end. From the beautiful outdoor building (architecture) to the inside (high end shop) and underground restaurant! I was mesmerized by that chandelier lol and browsed around but didn't feel any kind of friendly/inviting service! Definitely not somewhere I'd return, mostly due to the uninviting energy. Beautiful overall aesthetic though! I will give it a 10/10 for that... but sadly, that's about it. :/ Maybe next time we'll try the food and hopefully have a better experience! (Fingers crossed)

This is a special occasion place for me and I can't say enough good things about the attentive and professional staff that really set the tone for a fantastic meal. Everything I've eaten here has been delicious. I could probably be happy just eating my way through the starters menu. The wine by the glass menu has something for everyone and the beer list also has some interesting finds in it.

Stopped by for lunch on a recommendation from a coworker and we were blown away. The meats here were definitely the stars of the show. My sister and I got the French dip sandwich which was so good, the meat practically melted in our mouths. Her husband got the turkey club sandwich which was probably the best turkey club I've ever tried in my life-- the turkey is absolutely smoked in house and the apple butter on it was bomb. My fiancé got the pork tacos and while they weren't quite as stand out ish as the other two dishes, they were still super good and again the meat was done very well. The sandwiches were definitely also big enough my sister and I could've shared.

I travel to Fredericksburg regularly and this place has always been recommended. Talk about a hidden gem! Walking down the stairs into the dining room...makes you forget that you live in Texas. You might as well be entering a fine dining restaurant in LA, New York, Chicago or Boston (I used to leave in Boston and this place and vibe would be right at home there). It has that elevated feel and I was loving every minute of it. I dressed to go have Sunday brunch...and so did everyone else. The staff were caring and attentive and the food was absolutely phenomenal. It's probably the best fried chicken I've ever had and that's saying something for a proper southern boy. There is NO doubt I will make time to eat here EVERY time I'm in "Fred".

I visit Fredericksburg often, and this is my favorite place to have lunch. I have tried almost everything on the lunch menu, and have not been disappointed. Beautiful presentation, creative, and always delicious. The wait staff are very attentive, friendly, and remember you...even the gracious hostess. One waiter, Brock, has gone above and beyond to be helpful...great service. He sees your needs before you do. I highly recommend the Vaudeville experience.

We chose Vaudeville for a birthday dinner & they did not disappoint! Great service & atmosphere. The restaurant is located underneath the main entrance. We had the Mediterranean lamb pizza & rack of lamb.

Food atmosphere and service were great! The steak was incredible and my wife had the fish dish and loved it. Then we ordered dessert and what a treat. They also have a great wine list! Treat yourself here and u will not regret it!

We brought family here from out of the country for lunch--thoroughly enjoyed an appetizer that had crackers, focacia, and several different healthy dips to start and the sparkling lemonade was awesome. My wife and mother-in-law both had quiche, while my brother-in-law had some kind of health power food bowl and I coulfn't resist the pastrami on rye w saurkraut made from brussel sprouts--amazing adaptation by the way. Huge portions all-around, the atmosphere and vibe was really cool, and my wife made me promise to come back for supper someday soon. I really liked the jazz-feel music playing in this place. Service was outstanding. I really can't find fault with the place outside of suggesting smaller portions, but hey--this is Texas. We'll be back.
