Velvet Lounge

Well, we were excited to find out that you offer pizza and were open but, NO WHERE does it say that kids aren’t allowed after 6!! And there is basically no seating! We are VERY disappointed in Fredericksburg thus far. Got told that a place closed early and it advertised that it closed at 10, no places except fast food to eat later. Not real happy right now!! Won’t be coming back here again.

If I could give this place a negative review I would. We were there for an hour around 4pm after tasting wine then went home to change for dinner. When we came back they wouldn’t let our group in because they said we were drunk. The bald headed dude at the door is just mad he can’t grow hair. Worst bar in fredricksberg.

Every time we visit Fredericksburg, The Velvet Lounge is a must! The energy, the vibes, the karaoke—everything is top notch. The staff is always so fun and welcoming, and DJ Ray-chill keeps the party going all night long. If you’re looking for a place to let loose, sing your heart out, and make unforgettable memories, this is it!

Good spot for karaoke, but have to ding them for the volume being quite loud for late afternoon/early evening.

So you bid on a $350 certificate and win then when you get to lounge and checkout your bill is $350

The lounge was cool but just given wrong info which made it a very expensive and frustrating end to an evening

I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an experience I had at your establishment. On a recent visit to Velvet Lounge, I observed and personally experienced behavior that I believe reflected racial discrimination. Despite arriving at the same time or earlier than other patrons, I and other guests clear sat on the table I was waiting for as the guest left and we’d already talk about setting the table for us. As we sit on the table a pair of patrons merge towards the table and sit where we have been waiting for. We politely asked them to move and the insisted by calling management and making the problem about us. The staff’s actions gave the distinct impression that guests were being prioritized based on race, which is deeply upsetting and unacceptable in any setting. This experience was not only hurtful but also left me feeling unwelcome and dehumanized. No one should be made to feel like a second-class guest because of the color of their skin. Velvet Lounge presents itself as a modern and inclusive venue, and I hope that this experience does not reflect the values you intend to uphold. I urge you to take this matter seriously. I ask that your management team review this incident, speak to your staff about nondiscriminatory service, and consider implementing anti-bias training to ensure that no guest is ever made to feel this way again. I am sharing this in the hope that Velvet Lounge takes steps toward being a truly inclusive space.

Fun environment nice spot!

Loved the Karoke 🎉 and cocktails 🍹🍸🍾 fabulous! Excellent staff ! Pizza was delicious-enjoyed a friendly atmosphere!!

VL is the best place to be in Fredericksburg! You will have so much fun here! And their Italian Sub is amazing! If you like to have a good time and you like to sing there is no other place to be!

For a fun time on a Friday or Saturday night the Velvet Lounge is a great place. The staff here is awesome and most can sing very well. The best is just listening and watching people do karaoke. Advice here is get there early to get a seat or reserve or a table. It gets packed.

The PERFECT place for IMPERFECT people (especially imperfect singers like myself)! Fred is the Bartender Extraordinaire! John is the best drinking buddy ever and Christine (a mgr) simply spectacular! Best said - NO regrets!
