I’ve been coming here for years and have recommended it to a number of friends visiting in the area. I took friends there recently and was dismayed and embarrassed by the now $5.00 per person fee to walk the path around the fields. Seems like profit has overcome hospitality. Very sad for a family owned business that seems to be becoming more of a tourist trap.

They have live music when we visited Memorial Day weekend.

This has been my favorite winery to visit in Fredericksburg for our weekend trip! The wine was delicious. We didn't do a tasting, but opted for a glass of wine to walk around their gardens with. My husband enjoyed their wine while I had both their white sangria and red sangria. They make it in house and may be the best sangria I've ever had. Both white and red were fantastic! Their property is gorgeous, a beautiful place to enjoy the wine inside or out. Plus, we purchased a beautiful bird bath for our garden and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful garden decor they have. We will definitely be back next time we're in town!

Beautiful flowers on the property! I purchased wildflower seeds when I visited back in September and followed the instructions in the free booklet provided by the “farmer’s wife” who was very friendly. Those seeds turned into gorgeous flowers that later froze with our weather, and not too long after the freeze were even more beautiful flowers that popped up. What I love most is that planting the seeds were VERY simple, required minimal maintenance, and the bees enjoyed them 🐝

Lots of seeds to choose from! There are packages of seeds for every region on the U.S. There are lots of garden theme gifts and clothes. Outdoors, there is a mini nursery to buy plants from. Worth a stop if you love to garden or love plants/flowers.

This is a happy, happy surprise of a place! There's lots of garden and outdoor related items to see. Their seed collection is delightful. To semi-quote an old advertisement, We don't always go to Fredericksburg, but when we do we always go to Wildseed Farms. PLUS, it's dog friendly.

I was so impressed by Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg! It’s the largest working wildflower farm in the state—and it shows. The entire space is beautiful, well-kept, and easy to walk through, with plenty of comfortable seating to relax and take it all in. I appreciated the clean and convenient restrooms, lots of free parking, and the variety of experiences—from wine tasting and a snack bar to a full restaurant, unique shopping, and friendly customer service throughout. It’s definitely a family-friendly destination and such a special addition to the Fredericksburg area. Highly recommend visiting!

they charge admission to the trails and butterfly garden. I scoured their website, realizing that they make money hand over fist. they sell plants, seeds, wine tasting etc. but nowhere on their website did it say they charged to walk the trails. I understand it takes money for the upkeep and if they would have been upfront about the cost I would've been prepared. spent nothing and walked great trails and saw wildflowers at LBJ ranch instead. so much better!

We went yesterday April 21st like we do anytime we go to Fredericksburg. We have been going for 20+ years. We got there after five and my daughter told me the sign says we have to pay to go walk the trails. I proceeded to shop and buy my seeds and my plants that I buy almost every year from them, when I went to check out, I asked the lady why they charge now for the trails to go view the poppies/wildflowers. The lady at the register didn’t say anything, but just turned to look at an elderly Man standing behind her. Apparently, this is the owner. He told me they have always charged to go on the trails, I told him no sir we’ve been coming here for Years and have never been charged and he told me we must not have been coming when the poppies are out. I told him yes we always come when the poppies are out and I have pictures, my Husband is a photograph. He told me they’ve been doing it for 10 years and if I don’t like it, I can go somewhere else. I was shocked, but I continued to talk to the man about the blue bonnets and the poppies and why I can’t Seem to grow them at my house. After we checked out, I got in my Truck went through my pictures And I have so many where we are on the trails taking pictures of poppies. The owner flat out lied to me, I don’t know if I will go back Even though I love the place. The owner was extremely rude. The staff seemed very Nonchalant. The price now to walk the trails is $5. So disappointed.

We came by easter weekend to enjoy the beautiful flowers 🌸 the shop the atmosphere.
But we were very disappointed to find out that we have to pay now money 🤑
to walk the walking trail.
I don't think so
For years we come here for free. And we always buy something before we leave. Now you want to charge us to walk the flower fields too.
Getting a bit greedy now......
We won't be coming back 😐
