La Huasteca Mexican Restaurant

The food was real home cooking Mexican food. The service was amazing. My whole family loved it we drove 40 minutes just to eat there. Best place we have been to in a long time. And the place was so clean. Everyone needs to eat here.

Small portions, not a whole lot of seasoning but the salsa was super hot. Tables were super sticky to the touch, our napkin actually stuck to the table permanently.

Very accomodating to large group seating, very respectful, fast friendly service, Great food, plenty of drinks, and Good amount of seating. The parking lot is small but fitting for the amount of seating available for the size of the establishment.

First time. I really can't tell you exactly what we ate, but it was all very good, hot and fresh. Our waitress was really nice took her time to explain the different menu items and the bathrooms were cleaner than chick fil a's!

We had the crispy tacos with beans and rice. Excellent service, the food was delicious and everyone was so friendly!

First time, definitely not our last.Nice clean organized cafe type.Pleasant knowledgeable server and manager.As simple as our meal selections were is what made them even more impressively delighful.Kids Mini Pancakes plate:Fluffy tasty buttermilk pancakes and eggs cooked to order.Huevos Ranchetos plate:Best ranchero sauce ive ever tasted, quality country style bacon.Hippo taco (look it up...iykyk):Ok I may get a little flaq for saying this because this area 50 mi south of Houston is the home of the Hippo breakfast taco.Although La Huasteca may not be the location of the Original Hippo, it is definitely the Best Tasting Hippo Taco in my opinion.The ingredients are so noticeably meat market quality from the meaty chorizo to the thick country style bacon, even the refried beans are full of flavor.And the topper is the layer of melted grated american cheese on top, not too much, not too little.Because if you know your Hippo or this taco haven of an area, good quality grated American cheese is key and La Huasteca definitely has it.See you again soon.Oh heck, I forgot to mention, along w that amazing ranchero sauce, the red and green sauce in the plastic bottles are delectable and some of the best I have enjoyed.My toungue believes the red uses chile de arbol.My toungue believes the green is jalapeno or jalapeno /serrano combo.

First time visiting, everyone was nice and friendly, I'm ordering the menudo and my husband is gonna to have fajita tacos with beans and rice. They serve breakfast all day until closing. The food and reseasonable prices, the mendoza is delicious

Everything we had was really good. I've had a hard time finding my favorite chilaquiles in this area, but this is the place. The barbacoa is also excellent. We didn't see a bit of fat in it. The The corn tortillas are homemade. The portions are big and the prices are good. My husband ordered two breakfast tacos because we're used to getting small ones, but they were huge, like burritos.

Came here this past Friday with my friends and was the best place we ever been! Service was so wonderful and good! Ths food was bombbb... ? and as well the drinks. Best place I been! Hope this places grows big! Recommend anyone traveling from Houston to stop here first before going to the beach!

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and good mornings. The food was delicious. The Staff was very friendly and made sure everything was great. We will be back.

Good spot, not impress with Aguas Fresca, I believe only the lemonade is made fresh. They do have a buffet inmight try next visit.
