I ordered the nacho plate for lunch and it wasn’t very big and when I got the bill it was $21. Needless to say I won’t be coming back… to expensive for my blood…
Remembered this place from an ealier visit and knew the service was outstanding as well as the food. The morning after my arrival I drove an hour from Galveston for 6 a.m. breakfast and was welcomed very friendly by Amanda at that early hour. The barbacoa plate I ordered was very tasteful and even better than expected. Well worth the drive and the breakfast was a great start of the day watching the sun rise over the Gulf afterwards as a nice bonus. Recommended

I ordered 3 separate items and they were all made wrong, even after the server reapeated my order. I was not the only one in the table with incorrect orders. On top of that, they gave themselves a tip on top of the total already signed off on.

Disappointing experience at Maria's Kitchen.
The server seemed indifferent, but it was the manager's attitude that really took the cake. I brought in a drink from Bucky's because I apparently wanted it to get warm in the sweltering heat in my car, and somehow that was a huge offense. The manager was rude and unwelcoming, making me question whether I wanted to stay and spend my money there. To top it off, the food was mediocre - lacking flavor and with sauces that were more like bland tomato puree than anything exciting.
Wouldn't recommend this place. There are plenty of other great options in the area that actually care about customer service and serve decent food. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. Avoid Maria's Kitchen and explore better alternatives.

Beautiful Souls 🙏🏾 and Food is Wonderful…🌴🥜💯🌎♥️🙏🏾
I had a huevos ranchero plate w/bacon & beans. The bacon was not freshly cooked & the beans were cold. My bf had a barbacoa plate that came with only beans. At any other taqueria that same plate comes with eggs. The barbacoa was okay. I did appreciate the friendly service we received. Overall an average experience.
Food was good for lunch, the waitress did forget a few things but that’s ok.
