One of my family members wanted a chicken fried steak with extra mashed potatoes. I confirmed the order 3 times. When I walked into the establishment it was beyond. Nothing but the servers laughing and joking. I felt like I was not taken seriously. One of my father’s last meals he wanted was from on the river! I confirmed a chicken fried steak with extra mashed potatoes and gravy on the side 3 times. When I walked in it looked more like a child’s play ground instead of a restaurant! I don’t know if this is why they got my dad’s last meal incorrect or what!??? Highly disappointed. Simple chicken fried steak with extra mashed potatoes and gravy on the side.

Amazing seafood and the greens are to die for! Homemade cornbread and generous portions. Fresh coleslaw with homemade sauce. This is worth the trip!

Delicious food! Amazing fluffy and tasty homemade cornbread baked in a cast iron skillet. The best greens you’ll ever eat! They are seasoned to perfection. We have fried catfish and shrimp. They were incredible and fresh. We will be back soon. Very reasonable prices. Friendly staff and quick service.

Seated promptly. Server was attentive and pleasant. Food was fine; nothing remarkable, but nothing specific to complain about. Large portions at a fair price.

However.... one of our bread plates still had rice on it and a sliver of carrot. Our server immediately replaced it with a clean one when we pointed it out. The salt shaker was sticky. And the pepper is too large of a grind to come out of the holes in the pepper shaker (a personal pet peeve of mine).

Not great, but not horrible, either.

I was waiting for my dive boat to come in and this was the closest restaurant to the dock. The portions were huge. Giant iron pan of excellent cornbread. Good selection of American comfort foods. Good fish. Very reasonable price. Excellent service. Clean facilities.
