I love the flautas and many other generous dishes they have on menu which is BIG. There are no Mexican food restaurants i have liked better except the ones that have margaritas and yellow tails on sunday

I Love the Shrimp Taco Salad. Hubby likes the Street Tacos, Brother the mixed enchiladas and my friend almost always get the Chili Reno. I enjoy the large margarita on the rocks with an extra shot of Tequila.

Most outrageously price food I've ever seen. $20 for a small quesadilla. Food wasn't anything special. Rip off.

Upon the recommendation of a resident of Palacios, my wife and I had dinner at the Palacios Mexican Restaurant, commonly known as PMR. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. We would certainly consider returning to this Mexican restaurant, which is very popular with the locals, the next time we visit Palacios.

Great food, drinks and service! Try Chicken Poblano, Big servings though! Long time favorite restaurant.

Great service, fantastic margaritas! Food was great, staff was very attentive without being overbearing. Nice classic Mexican restaurant.

Food was dried out and tasteless. My flautas were saved only by piling sour cream on them. Beans and rice were in need of some spices

1 is the best your going to get . We came here for a nice birthday dinner . I should of opted for DQ and saved some money . The rice was very bland . Beans tasted right out of the can . None of us ate our beans as the flavor was gross. This restaurant must get a lot of visitor traffic because if I lived here I'd drive elsewhere or cook myself . Don't get the fish either . I get it don't order fish from a Mexican restaurant but it was over cooked and had no flavor not even salt . The chips tasted right from the bag .. Don't be fooled by the old menu from a year ago in one of the reviews..sour cream enchiladas went from 13.99 to 19.99 in one year .. please stop saying inflation . That's no excuse for jacking up the prices 6 dollars. My hopes were high .. I always give places a try even after the reviews but I'm sorry this place is not good

I am going with a 3 due to several reasons and none necessarily with the food. The food was filled with great flavor and definitely was fresh! My complaint with it is quantity versus value. The guisada was $14.99 and my fajitas were $24. The salsa taste like a kicked up ketchup. For 2 people our ticket was $56 without tip!

We went as a group while enjoying a mini vacation. We were tired of eating what we were catching on our fishing trip. We stopped in and had a good time. They seated us on Saturday, with 8. It is a comfortable place to eat, in downtown. Everyone was happy with the service and the food. We had beef and chicken fajitas. They werent anything to write Chet Garner about, but they were nice. The warm salsa and cheese dip, hit the spot. We never had to ask for Tea refills. That alone, tells you what type of service we got. I would stop again, if in Palacios.

PMR - we finally tried it again. Heard it had improved, not. We ordered to plates with beef fajitas and both plates we not eatable. The meat was not cuttable or chewable. Sent one back and got a chicken dish and chicken was so dry, not eatable. Very disappointed. Yuk

OMG I was better off cooking Mexican food at home. These people on here left reviews really hasn't had real Mexican food. Let's start with the salsa both taste like S*** very little spicy. The green sauce was even worst. Order the grande plate. Now that was a joke. The hard shell taco look like a pile of dark sawdust dry with seasoning in it ‍. The whole plate was horrible. But don't take my word for it. Try it yourself and thank me later.

Went there twice, first time was not busy, were waved from the back to seat ourselves yet when a white family came in they were greeted and seated immediately. They only have 2 breakfast items. Huevos Rancheros and Chorizo and egg. But were very good. Red salsa was good. Green sauce was meh. Second time was very busy, waited for about 10 minutes without acknowledging us. Green sauce was flavorless, Chile relleno was covered with EGG not egg/flour mix. Tried to like it but couldn't, pushed the egg aside. The chicken and vegetables were drowned in soy and teriyaki and came with Mexican rice instead of white rice like menu said. Sent it back and got spinach enchiladas which were good. Husband ordered fried fish which came when he reminded them about it and everyone else was almost done eating. Not sure if I will be back. Probably not.
