I've been to the red snapper many times. I recently tried the bar trash appetizer. It is basically six shrimp topped with a little bit of seasoned crab meat, setting in about 2/3 cup of oil; $23(overpriced). I would not get it again.
Dirty dishes stayed at our table the entire night

I ordered the shrimp and oyster combo. The shrimp was ok, but the oysters were terrible. Thick breading that came off when you picked them up. The server was not allowed to make separate tickets. I was traveling with friends and we get reimbursed for business so we needed separate tickets. Will not go back.

got sat, waited abt 5-8 min for waiter to see us, when she finally did, brought out a drink order (we hadn’t even placed a drink order yet), she proceeds to hand us the drinks she brought, then we wait abt another 20 minutes for food, once food finally comes out, every single order was either messed up, or the complete wrong order and the waitress didn’t want to fix anything, had an attitude the whole time, and when asked if she would correct the wrong order, she said she could but we would have to pay for BOTH PLATES OF FOOD when she was the one who brought out the wrong order to begin with ????? absolutely not. even with the wrong orders, door still tasted like crap, bland, overcooked, just overall not good at all. if i could give 0 stars, i would. girl w tattoos - fix your attitude and maybe actually pay attention to your tables ??????? just a thought tho ??

Sat at a 2 top, by a wall, waitress very annoyed with any questions we tried to ask her. 10 minutes after ordering our food, waitress brought water and dinner salads but no shrimp cocktail. Had to ask for it 2 times after meal was served. Shrimp, 2 were cool not cold others were warm, lettuce had brown spots. We would have said something about our meal but she never ask. Didn't refill waters. They sat empty before shrimp cocktail was sat down. She seemed to be in a hurry not knowing or what came with the dishes. When she did come to the table, not a welcome or any kind of greeting but, " Do you know what you want ? I spend several weeks a year in surfside. I will tell as many people as I can about the little white headed, rude waitress. But I will not step foot in Your Inn ever again.

It's basically the only place to eat here at Surfside. The food had no flavor, wasn't salted. (Fried shrimp) Baked potato was hard under cooked, blue cheese salad dressing was nothing but mayonnaise maybe one piece of blue cheeses in it. This place could be a diamond mine if management care about the food they serve. 1

Great little place for 5 star food. The fried oysters are best I have had. The baked potatoes are huge and cooked right. I will definitely go back!

It isn't often you find a place such as this! Loved the whole experience, food was amazing, service was the best ever and the decor and ambiance was absolutely fabulous. The food was delicious, everything we are ordered was perfection, how often does that happen? The appetizers were to die for. The jalapeño poppers with crab dressing were so good and the cheese croquettes were amazing. The fried oysters were some of the best I have ever ate. The baked potatoes had everything you could want to create your own toppings, the bread...delicious! The stuffed shrimp was incredibly delicious....I could go on and on but the food is not the only thing that makes this place a winner.
The decor is almost like being in a museum, the history of every piece is amazing and the owner is happy to share with you how they came to be in his establishment.
But lastly and most important, the service was impeccable, something you do not experience everyday. Jeanne seated us and was so friendly and that beautiful smile! Our server was Nicole and she is just amazing, ask for her if you can, she is wonderful, professional and so much fun, we loved it! And last but not least the owner, Lin Biar was kind enough to share much of the history of the restaurant and all the amazing nautical pieces there on display.
So please, if you are in the area, please check it out.....they do everything right!!!

AMAZING FOOD!! Plenty to share! My husband & I split the seafood platter & had plenty!!! The service was great! We never had to ask for refills on our drinks. I DEFINITELY would recommend this place if you are wanting fresh seafood! Didn't taste like any of it had been frozen.
