Forgot to pack my lunch, so I decided to check out my local cafe. Quiet location. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food didn't take too long and came out super fresh and tasty. I loved the fries! Will be coming back to try out some other menu items for sure.

The food was just ok. There didn’t seem to be much flavor for the biscuits and gravy but It was also watered down. My guest food was good which was the crawfish something (we don’t remember the full name). The atmosphere was real nice, small town feel.

I absolutely love this cafe!! I have been coming here with my family since I was younger. We hadn’t been in a couple years but we came again just recently and let me tell you it was a million times better than anything I remembered. Before I knew it I had developed what my family refers to as an “addiction” to their tomato soup. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I don’t know what kind of magic they use to create their recipes but i’ve never left disappointed. I order the pesto chicken sandwich with tomato soup every weekend now and for the foreseeable future. If you are into wonderful food please come check out 5th street patio cafe. You will not regret a visit.

Non locals, we came for the dog friendly patio but we're very impressed by our experience. The prices for food are great, compared to the quality and portions. We had the chicken and waffles and the biscuits and gravy meals. Both are phenomenal. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the employees were so incredibly kind, making this experience a 10/10 ♥️

I have previously eaten there so I recommended it to a friend. I ordered their shrimp basket which was their special. The five shrimp were very small (more like a snack size) and instead of the french fries I asked for their tomato soup. Again the soup came in a very small bowl. This meager meal cost $12.99 and their iced tea was $3.50. My friend ordered a quesadilla and was happy with her meal. I was left hungry and very upset that this was their tiny meal presentation. Actually, I would have been embarrassed to serve this to a guest. Will not recommend it to anyone else, and won't drive back from McKinney again.
Update September 2025. The quality of the chilaquiles has sadly decreased. Not sure if they changed of chef. No beans in the chilaquiles and they are very spicy. These used to be my favorite chilaquiles in town:(

Very good sandwich, we tried the shrimp po boy, very tasty! Bulgogi burger, was very good like a cross between a French onion soup on a burger... Very satisfying! And a cup of the jalapeno bisque... Just the right level of bite.

I used to come here as a little girl with my parents and always enjoyed it. So for nostalgia sake I brought my friends to brunch to celebrate my 18th birthday. It did not disappoint. Just as charming — If not more — as I remembered, with amazing customer service and delicious food!! The manager and waitress got to know our group, directed us to the best table (we were the only ones there at the time) and treated me to a slice of cheesecake to help us celebrate. Such a sweet time, I felt so blessed and special!
