We had a wonderful experience here, and this place is a great choice to get a decent brunch, lunch, or dinner in a great and pleasant ambiance. You would love decoration, customer service, and delicious food here!I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Alfredo Pasta, and it’s so lovely!!!The sauce is lemon alfredo, so it does not taste too creamy and greasy but comes with a sour feeling. And the shrimp is blackened, so it’s crispy. The most delicious is the side dish - garlic bread; I like its crispy texture! And you shall love the feeling of bread after it's dipped into the pasta sauce, then enjoy it!

My son had avocado & egg toast and got food poisoning because the avocado was rotten; totally black. This is a scandal. This restaurant is badly managed and kitchen is below par. The food they serve is spoiled.

Omgeeeeee I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant!!!! The bartender was the best bartender on the planet! I think his name is Kevin I just remember he was a black king and his hair was amazing with popping curls. The drinks was top tier he really out did himself. Now on to the food that was just as delicious. I ordered the sample platter that had a lil of everything I also ordered a side of chicken strips that are extremely good as well. 10 out of 10 I would recommend.

The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant. My husband seemed to enjoy his food. Mine was fair. The presentation was nice as well. The honey butter made the pancakes good. Great portion size also. I would go back and try another option on the menu.

I got Egg Benedicts. The egg Benedict was really good, and the beef and biscuit that was under the egg was good too. The biscuit wasn't too thick either. The potatoes were alright, but it wasn't a lot.My bf got the Big Plate. The food was lukewarm. The pancakes were very small, and sausage was really thick. Eggs were alright. The portions were on the small side, and each dish was around $15. I would say the portion is fine for an adult female, and just barely cutting it for an adult male.

The food was excellent! The service was great! Very hospitable staff. My friend had the French toast, which was Ah-mazing! I had chicken and waffles which was also very good but not as magical as the French toast. You find your own seat and order at the counter but they bring the food out to you. Overall a great place for breakfast. It was a touch difficult to navigate to, but once I made it, everything was smooth.

BEST brunch spot in Frisco!Personal favorite is the Creole Shrimp Omelette with wheat toast. Price $14.50. Creamy, flavorful, and very filling. I’d argue it’s the best omelette I’ve had in DFW.Service is great and you order at the counter with plentiful seating both indoor and outdoor.Food comes out quick which is a big plus.

Good experience here! The ambience was nice and chill and it’s spacious. The staff were friendly and polite, food tasted good (bacon was a little hard). The manager or owner (not sure which) stopped by to make sure everything was good and since I shared it was my birthday he surprised us and my meal was on the house! That was kind and thoughtful. I didn’t get his name but if you’re reading this, you helped make my day?. We will definitely be back!

The ambience of this location is great..It wasnt too crowded when we arrived..it is first come first serve, the only difference is you place yourself on any empty table you like!! you order your food at the counter and wait for them to serve it..The food was great as well, no problem there at all but the wait to get a milkshake or your food is outrageously long, I must have waited atleast 40mins to get all our food on the table..Also the person taking the order at the counter (probably her first day or so) didnt know how much the dishes were priced at..let me remind you the cafe was not crowded at all..food and ambience is great but service definitely needs to improve..

We went to the Black Walnut Cafe for the first time Sunday. It was wonderful. We were visiting from Tulsa OK and I left my glasses there. Didn’t discover till I was back home in Tulsa. The restaurant and manager, Scott Greenwood, were fabulous. They mailed my glasses to me which I receive today. So thankful they went out of their way to mail them to me. I will definitely eat at the Black Walnut every time I’m in Dallas!!! Great customer service ??????

Me and my wife had an amazing experience here. The staff is super awesome especially Jay. His vibe and amazing service really made our first experience here a memorable one. We truly enjoyed the quality of the food and presentation. The chocolate croissant was delicious. However we do have one small suggestion. Please accept cash. These waiters and waitresses deserve to have cash in the registers and on hand for change and tips that aren't taxed. They are working so hard for your company and not having a cash option is hurting them. Keep your employees first they are doing amazing for your business. Don't forget about them. Allow cash.

We came by a few months ago excited to find a breakfast place with high ratings open for dinner so we made the drive. The parking lot was pretty empty, but it made sense since it is a daytime cafe. When we entered, we expected to be greeted by a host or employee, but no one working seemed to be around. We eventually figured out we had to order at the back of the restaurant and placed 2 orders for chicken & waffles.Finding a seat was a little frustrating as many of the tables looked dirty, yet the place was slow. The furniture throughout looked beat up and the chairs wobbly like it had seen better days. We waited at least 30min for our food and when it arrived the gentleman that brought our food described them differently, but we had ordered the same. We noticed the dishes were garnished differently, but appeared to have what we ordered so we didn’t think it was a big deal. The food tasted a bit bland compared to other chicken & waffles we had, especially for the price, but we finished it and was fine.First Watch, Cindi’s, and Breadwinners are other brunch places we frequent and know what to expect with the varying quality, ambiance, price. The low rating is due to lack of attention, care, and taste compared to what we’re used to, including places that cost less.

Wonderful brunch experience. Mimosa flights were perfect (a little larger than the picture indicated). Texas Breakfast and Chicken/Waffles are GREAT! Clean location.

Saturday, early afternoon. Not really busy. Food slow. Coffee was cold and then ran out of caffeinated coffee. Restroom was messy. Food looked good but was very average. Hope they get their sct back together.
