I went to Chicago Avenue Hotdogs for lunch with eight of my friends today. We had a fabulous time. The food was pretty good, the decor and atmosphere were really nice, and I had a fabulous time with my friends. I hope you all have an amazing time when you go as I had today!
Finally got to try this place for a daddy/daughter date. They did a great job with the decor and atmosphere and we were both excited to try the food. Both of us got burgers and a side of fries. Both burgers were excellent! Fries were cooked perfectly, though underseasoned. I prefer this anyway so I can season to my liking. We saw the stage and inquired about the music schedule. Excited to hear that every Thursday is a blues jam with local artists. They also have an open mic night...
Good hot dogs. Nice snappy bite. I had underdog and chili cheese. The buns are great, so soft. The chili has a good meaty flavor with just a touch of spice. My wife really enjoyed her Chicago dog. The crinkle fries were hot and crispy. We'll be back for sure.
