My wife and I came to Cowboy Chicken in Frisco for a random dinner date. It was a hit! Thiago was so warm and welcoming and walked us through the menu and had some great recommendations. The food was amazing. The half chicken was a big portion and the side mac and cheese and fries were really good too. We’re adding it into our rotation and will definitely be back. Ask for Thiago!

This place was incredible! It was our first time trying Cowboy Chicken and it quickly became a favorite spot of ours. Thiago was so incredibly helpful walking us through the menu and offering suggestions. He was so friendly and welcoming, his customer service really goes above and beyond. The food was delicious, all of the sides were great but the Mac and cheese was exceptional. The food came out quick and hot. We will for sure be back!

Just tried Cowboy Chicken and WOW. Insanely juicy and packed with flavor — you can tell it’s cooked right. The Mexican street corn was next level, perfectly seasoned and seriously addictive. And the mashed potatoes with that gravy? Absolute comfort food perfection.

Very disappointed in the current quality of the food. The chicken has become overly salty and the sides are lackluster. The macaroni and cheese and peach cobbler are just gummy and inedible. The family meal was a stable biweekly fill in that my family enjoyed. Sadly, no more.

I got the two piece dark special with mac & cheese and green beans. It was pretty good, food is great except for the green beans. The green beans tasted like they are soaked in salt water, and on top of that more seasoning which makes it over seasoned. too much seasoning is not good for people with health problems
The location on Preston is still not open been waiting since October 2025.

The food itself is decent, I’d say it’s about Boston Market quality, but I’m giving this restaurant one star for their business practices, not the food.
I ordered banana pudding and it was missing from my order. I called the restaurant right away and was told I would be refunded. That was over three months ago, and I still have not received the refund.
What’s frustrating is not the mistake, those happen, but the fact that they said they would refund me and never did. That feels deceptive and unethical.
I would avoid this place unless you’re willing to risk being charged for items you don’t receive, with no follow-through afterward.
