Sadly, this experience was lacking. We’ve been fans of Durkin’s since the original McKinney location back when Michael Durkin himself was serving.

First off, the store was severely understaffed. The host/waitress was taking orders, the food runner and was also running back into the kitchen to, I assume, help cook. She was hustling and was very nice. She was working her butt off so nothing negative to say about her. I noticed a “help wanted” sign in the window when we walked in…

After ordering at the counter, I asked for a Peroni on tap, and my wife asked for a Chardonnay. They were out of both. The host said they were very limited on their selection. Pretty much out of everything.

The food prices were quite steep. I know it’s a higher quality than regular delivery but a 14” Medium cheese pizza was $14.99 + $2.50 for pepperoni. Each topping is $2.50, some premium toppings more. We also ordered 6 wings for $10 and a 7” Meatball sub for $8.99.

It took more than 35 mins for us to get the first part of our meal, the meatball sub. Kids took one bite and the meatballs were literally ice cold. It looked delicious but sadly we had to return it. The host did offer us a large cheese pizza in return but we bypassed (it would have been too much). We asked for a refund and she processed it. I’m supposed to check my account in 24-48 hours to see if it went through and call if it didn’t.

We finally received the wings about 8 mins later and they were decent size, piping hot and had a good flavor!

Then the pizza finally came out about 10 mins later. It was super hot. We dove in. The flavor was good but it was extremely greasy. We had to ask for multiple napkins to sop up the grease. We also had to ask for plates, and waters because we didn’t have any yet. The pizza had no rigidity and was falling apart. Again decent flavor but seemed like the dough wasn’t cooked all the way through. Sad, because Durkins had some of the BEST pizza around.

Finally, the men’s restroom… the lights didn’t work. I had to go into the women’s restroom to wash my hands before dinner but there were no napkins in the dispenser. There was a stack on top of the dispenser though, which I found luckily before resorting to a drip dry.

Overall we were really disappointed. I think it has to be better than this. I reviewed Durkins on my blog way back in the day and I was a huge fan… sadly, I hope this is an anomaly.

I hope I get my refund, and hope they can get some help. I’d like to give it a shot again but not until it’s all fixed … but those prices… ouch.

I only got a pic of the sandwich, wish I would have taken more.

Can't order by the slice like you can at pretty much any pizza place. Anytime I go there's usually no one even sitting Inside the place. I was in the area and just wanted 2 slices for a fix of fats/carbs but not trying to eat 8 slices by myself at 4pm and getting obese again.

Employee tells me 5 minutes and takes 35 minutes and way past the scheduled pick up time. Don’t just make up turns

Durkins Pizza absolutely knocked it out of the park! I ordered their meat pizza through DoorDash and was blown away by how loaded to the brim it was with fresh, flavorful toppings. Every bite had layers of perfectly seasoned sausage, crispy bacon, and classic pepperoni — no skimping here! The crust was golden, soft on the inside, and baked just right to hold up all those generous toppings.

What really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients — you can truly taste the quality. It’s rare to find a pizza place that gives you this much flavor, portion, and value all in one box. If you’re a true pizza lover, Durkins is the spot.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had… Definitely the best pizza in Frisco!!

The service is always spotty and the atmosphere inside is very odd.

Nevertheless I’m a very loyal patron and I hope it doesn’t close.

I can confidently recommend any of the salads, the wings are good and regardless off the toppings you choice the pizza will be delicious

Durkins is honestly my favorite pizza. Because it’s not greasy, the crust has flavor, which I normally don’t eat but theirs I do, and the size is bigger than most. I use to eat here when the young Durkin owner started it at 121 location. If you have a choice, choose Durkins.

Definitely NOT a place for pasta. My children wanted Alfredo so we tried something new. Not a fan. It's the easiest dish to make!!! No flavor. Tons of chicken but bleh. It was not fresh made alfredo. salad was ok. We didn't try the pizza but toppings look mediocre. No business while we sat down to eat... we were the only ones here. I HATE to leave a negative review. But we will not be back and do not recommend to dine in.. at all..

We tried Durkin’s for the first time this evening and the most important part (the pizza) was really good! My wife is recently gluten free so we keep trying new gluten free pizza places and this one might be our most favorite yet.

Three things I didn’t like about Durkin’s:

1. The ranch is not homemade. Fresh ranch is such a huge difference maker with pizza.
2. No one answers the phone. I tried calling to ask about the difference between the ancient grains crust and the rice flour crust but I found the answer on google instead.
3. For some reason half of my pepperoni & jalapeños came back as half without pepperoni but it was fine, the cheese pizza was still really good.

Anyhow, 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ !!!!!

I placed an order online and appreciated the 20% discount for first-time customers—great deal! I ordered the cheesy bread, which was flavorful, but I’d recommend asking for an extra cup of sauce. My main issue was the sauce placement; instead of being on the side, it was poured right on top. It made the bread soggy and messy, which was disappointing.

The inside of the restaurant looks fantastic, but I was just doing a to-go order this time. Overall, decent experience, but a little attention to presentation would go a long way!
