A HIDDEN GEM!! I absolutely love it here. Authentic Japanese cuisine, very small intimate seating & atmosphere. The sweetest staff… the food is incredible and service is personable. They also have a great omakase you’ll need to notify ahead of time definitely recommend if you’re not familiar with what to order.

We finally found an amazing place for sushi - rolls are the perfect size and delicious - delicious tempura - 10/10 recommend - we were very impressed with how fresh their ginger is - we loved everything we tasted

Wonderful authentic experience. The service was great! They were quite busy with one server but it all worked out, meals are meant to be enjoyed. The bathrooms were very clean and even had a Toto washlet!!! The food was delicious and fresh. As close to being in Japan without the traveling.

Small and kind of hole in the wall. Service was very slow because a few tables sat down at once and there was only one sushi chef and each tables order was made sequentially. The sushi was really good though and worth the wait. They also had actual wasabi.

Tried this place for authenticity mentioned in reviews. Nothing special on sushi, but they were the smallest pieces and rice were falling apart with cold temperature. Barely could taste fish. Had otoro, blue fin tuna, mackerel, salmon roe, salmon, egg custard, yellow tail.

Great food from a family owned Japanese restaurant. High attention to detail on presentation. The food was fresh and served at the right temperature. Not extravagant but good quality food. I will visit again.

Google says open until 1030. This place was closed at 10 and when I called and told them what Google told me (why i drove here), they said "I don't think so!" Umm... fix your hours and quit wasting customers' time... thanks....

Very nice authentic Japanese restaurant tucked away in Frisco. I'm shocked I've never noticed this place until recently and pass by it all the time. The food is fresh and amazing with lots of good dishes. The restaurant is small and quaint. Would recommend and wish everyone would try it.

I have to say this place is good, very good... Awesome selection of fresh fish and some are unique. The chef absolutely knows his craft and is great'. The place is small and that makes it even better (like 25 seats). However is it 5 stars...no. It's a solid 3.5 but not a 5 star sushi place. I only say that because Nobu and Uchi are tru 5 star sushi restaurants in Dallas. Not to say this place is bad, it's far better than most! I have been to all the best sushi restaurants in Dallas so take this review with a grain of salt. Most people would say this this is a 4-5 star place as the reviews reflect. When I say 3 stars I am not talk talking like Kura comparing, 3 vs 5 comparing to Uchi and Nobu.

Let’s see where to start. We did the $80 omakase. Started with an appetizer plate with 5 very distinct dishes. Each dish made to tantalize your taste buds and tickle the textures of what your mouth is not accustomed to. Each was different but the mystery of it was very refreshing. Each following dish gave you a little taste of why this restaurant is a little different from the rest. It is a small place but made to make you feel like you have your own personal chef. The chawamushi was definitely why I’d come back. It was very different. It’s almost like a warm tofu dish but it’s eggs apparently. At the bottom are myriads of mysterious pieces of randomness that makes the very peculiar dish memorable. Fish, chicken, pork possibly. Hard to tell but incredible nonetheless. It’s salty yet subtle. Sweet but delicate. Perfectly hot and deliciously inviting umami to wake up your taste buds. Now not everyone might enjoy this place. You would have to like sushi and fish. The one incredible and pleasant surprise was the asparagus. Yea I thought I was going crazy too. This asparagus was the most bewildering asparagus I have ever tasted. It was perfectly cooked and somehow, the aftertaste was not just savory but creamy. I kept staring at the center of the asparagus to see if there was milk or cream or something strange like that inside it. Like it was filled with some type of cheese or something I couldn’t even understand. Maybe it was the type of asparagus but it honestly looked normal. Something magical was done to it making me feel a little irritable. I haven’t the faintest clue as to how to cook asparagus this way. Next time, I’m taking my kids to go on what I hope to be a slightly different omakase adventure. Call in advance and let them know during reserving the table that you want omakase. Oh and ask them if they have bluefin tuna belly. They didn’t have it this time but they do have it here and there. Very few sushi places have bluefin tuna belly. It’s rare and sort of like an A5 wagyu of tuna. And try the black cod also. It’s grille with maybe a little soy sauce and mirin from what I can taste. Enjoy this place. Support this tiny little restaurant. I hope it can stay around for years to come for everyone to try at least once.
