First time ever going and I loved everything!
The two people at the register on 08/18/25 around 5:50ish pm were super fun and helpful! I dont know their names sadly but one was a nice lady with black hair and the other was a tall man with short curtain bang hair and beard.
The man who served our food (hat and big beard) and the other that picked it up when we finished (probably the manager) were also very positive!
The burger and fries were delicious! I ordered the kids burger and it was very plentiful.
Great staff, great food and great experience overall! Hoping to stop by again soon! Keep it up! đ

Excellent service by Johnathan and the food was amazing! He literally made the whole experience and we will be back because of him! We got the eschbech burger and the haystack with avocado and fries. Would eat this over rodeo goat đ Great job all yall!

Listen. I donât normally write reviews. But what happened at Haystack Burger last night deserves to be documented for future generations.
I walk in hungry â like, âdonât-talk-to-me-until-I-eatâ hungry. The guy behind the counter (letâs call him John, though it may have been Jonathan, or possibly a sentient beef patty) greets me with the enthusiasm of someone who has seen things. I ask whatâs good, and without blinking, he says:
âYou need the fried cheese sticks. Donât think. Just do it.â
I laugh nervously. He doesnât. He stares into my soul. This man is dead serious. âTheyâll change you,â he whispers. âThey changed me.â
Okay. Fine. I order the cheese sticks and a burger. Whatever.
Reader, I was not ready.
These cheese sticks arenât appetizers. Theyâre a spiritual awakening. Theyâre golden brown, crunchy on the outside, and inside? A molten stretch of cheese that could double as a grappling hook. I bit into one and saw my ancestors nodding in approval. Somewhere, a bald eagle cried.
The burger? Fantastic. Juicy, perfectly cooked, stacked like a meat-loverâs architectural masterpiece. But those cheese sticks? I started calling them âthe chosen ones.â I would absolutely throw hands over the last one.
The same guy walked by mid-meal and just smirked, like, âYeah. You get it now.â
So yeah. Haystack isnât just a burger joint. Itâs a life event. Come for the burger, stay because the cheese sticks altered your personality.

Usually amazing, but with all the construction we haven't been in awhile. Should've kept it that way.
First, its not clean. Like the wood floor is sticky amd food all over it. I sat and laid my arm in ketchup...... really?
Ordered 2 burgers, one with an extra patty. Asked for medium. Got NHL hockey puck well done. Also ordered fries.
The food was so salty we didn't even finish it. Like made my wife and I both cough from the amount of salt. Its food, not a driveway after an icestorm.
Wish Frisco would fix Main and make it easier for local businesses to provide parking. Had a chili burger and onion rings and they hit the spot. Chili had no beans, like it was meant to be, and the beef was cooked to choice.

Everything would have been perfect had they put the 1000 island in a ramekin on the side for our uber order because no taste whatsoever. Fries were cold and hard. For the cost I feel it could have been better but the quality of meat was great!

Great place to get a burger, fries, cheese sticks among other things. Probably one of the most well rounded burger spots I've been to in a while. Everything we tried was just a step above in texture and flavor. Prices were very fair. The grilled mushrooms are really tasty.
I think the burger patty was definitely more flavorful than most places I've had burgers at. They aren't just relying on the freaking toppings.
The cheese sticks were I'll say in the top 10 for places I've tried in DFW over the years and I've been around the block a few times on these since my wife has to have them every single time she goes out to eat haha...
The parking was a bit frustrating and the atmosphere isn't exactly exciting but I mean, it's a burger joint so I'm not holding that against them.
