Kotta Sushi Lounge is an excellent choice if you’re looking for high-quality sushi in a calm, comfortable setting. We ordered several sushi rolls along with hot sake, and everything was fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully presented. The rolls were balanced and flavorful without being overcomplicated, which really lets the quality of the ingredients stand out. The hot sake paired perfectly with the meal and was served at just the right temperature.
Service was another strong point. The staff were attentive and efficient, checking in when needed but never rushing us or making the experience feel transactional. It struck a great balance — quick service without being pushy — which made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal at our own pace.

I’ve been here multiple times, and it’s hands-down the best sushi restaurant in all of Dallas and Frisco. Shawn is an outstanding waiter with exceptional knowledge of both sushi and sake, and he always makes the dining experience even better. From the chefs to the owner, everyone is warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Every visit feels like a treat—highly recommended.

The owner is extremely rude and talks down to his employees, even yelling at them in front of customers. It creates a really uncomfortable and unprofessional environment. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Even with a reservation, I still waited over 30 minutes to be seated. The owner was completely unprofessional, yelling at his hosts in front of customers. Specifically a tall guy with a buzz cut was also very rude the entire time acting like he didn’t want to be at work. Overall, the atmosphere and service were very poor.

My steak was great! Was unfortunate the wine offering was below average. Would be great if the restaurant was byob if the wine offering is going to continue to be lower level offering. Also- My cucumber salad came out after the main course and the same with the potatoes, it arrived later also that was disappointing.

Kotta Sushi Lounge continues to prove why it’s the best sushi experience in the entire metroplex. Every time I visit, the quality is unmatched. On my latest trip, I had the chicken fried rice, salmon sushi, tuna, and the TDK roll—every single bite was incredible. The freshness and flavor here are on another level.
One detail that truly sets Kotta apart is their wasabi. It’s silky smooth, dissolves perfectly into the soy sauce, and adds the exact kick you want without overpowering the fish. Absolutely bar none.
If you want consistently phenomenal sushi, amazing flavors, and a place that never disappoints, Kotta Sushi Lounge is it. Highly recommend!

Kotta Sushi in Frisco never disappoints. The food is always fresh and absolutely delicious, and the variety of rolls is incredible. They have so many options, including some really unique creations you can’t find anywhere else. We were able to make a same-day reservation for three on a Friday night at 7, which was super convenient. Overall, great service, great flavors, and consistently awesome every time we go. Highly recommend!
