Fantastic experience, Larry and Danielle were so knowledgeable about the menu. Food was fantastic. A little expensive but would highly recommend.

My group experience was amazing. Wes was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. The service was incredible as well, my group asked a lot of questions and had a lot of special requests but they were hospitable and accommodating. We got the party platter, shishito peppers, short rib dumplings, and corn ribs- i couldn’t recommend all of them more.

Amazing night at Musume at The Star! The food was incredible — especially the Hokkaido Scallops, Yellowtail Serrano, and Black Cod Misosuka — and even the corn ribs and shishitos were perfect.
But the real standout was our server, Andy. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and made the whole experience feel elevated. His service truly set the tone for the night.
Highly recommend asking for Andy when you visit!

I visited Musume for the first time with my sister, and we were impressed with every aspect of our experience. We were greeted immediately by friendly employees and were seated inside (our preference) and greeted promptly by Wes who ended up helping us out big time. Because we had never been here before, he not only went through the menu with us, but he also helped provide suggestions since everything sounded so good. His recommendations did not disappoint because we were so pleased with our food! 10/10, no notes! The drinks were perfect, the dessert was insane (we got a Thai tea creme brûlée). If you're thinking about going, I highly recommend it. There's not a bad seat in the restaurant (or outside!) and I'm convinced there's nothing bad on the menu. I will absolutely be returning and might order the exact same things as last time because it was that good. Try the blackened cod and the shishito peppers before deciding on an entree! <3

Great find for having a celebration event or just a fancy dinner. Food is amazing and the cocktails and drinks selection is vast and fantastic. Owners, shout out to Danielle who has taken care of our table above and beyond for the 3 birthdays I have been there for - she is a great sommelier and really takes care of the guests!

If I could give 100 stars I would. I was absolutely floored by the face lift this place got, it’s absolutely stunning! We sat on the patio and it was perfection. The food was amazing (best shishito peppers I’ve ever had) & all the sushi rolls were so delicious and I’m a sushi snob!! Service was phenomenal I believe our servers name was Wesley! Will definitely be back often.

To start, the ambiance is wonderful and elegant- really gave the impression that this would be a nice spot to enjoy sushi. We chose here over Uchiko, since we had never tried this place before. We ordered drinks- my husband’s old fashioned (whistle pig old fashioned) was one of the best ones he’s ever had, my drink the “spritz” was flavorless and bland.

Next, we ordered the short rib wontons for an appetizer- after the presentation we both took one bite and could immediately tell these were not hot (barely warm) so after waiting close to 10 minutes for our server (he wasn’t the one to deliver the appetizer) to come by- we just asked that they let the chef know it wasn’t hot and that we would still like it but hot please.

Next, our food came- sashimi and black and gold roll with a side of Thai fried rice. Shortly after our meal arrived, the wontons came back out and again- the exact same temp as before. This told us- the server just had them remake them and said nothing about the temperature.

Frustrated, we just ate them at a tepid temp. The sushi was just okay. The fried rice tasted like burnt oil that it was likely cooked in. No flavor, just a burnt oil taste that I couldn’t get out of my mouth after trying it. The sushi roll tasted like anything you could get from any other sushi restaurant.

One of the three times our server came to the table- he delivered our check and told us he took off the appetizer (which we weren’t expecting nor did we ask for- but grateful he did). Overall, this place was an extremely disappointing experience and we definitely won’t be back. Food- subpar- don’t waste your money on cheap sushi here. If you are going to spend money on north Texas sushi go to Uchiko or for a cheaper option Sushi Nu Nu. Service- okay. The guy was super nice but needed to be attentive. Atmosphere- nice.

My husband and I decided to visit the Star on our trip. We found Musume which is a gem! The restaurant was beautiful- very upscale and classy. Our server Rayna was great! She walked us through the menu and guided us through our dining experience. We enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!

We celebrated a birthday at Musume and had an exceptional evening. We booked the private room for our party of 8, which worked well overall. The space has two tables that seat 6 each, so we arranged our group as two couples per table to make it work.

The service was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable throughout the meal. A highlight of the evening was when the owner personally came by our table to say hello, which was a thoughtful touch.

The food was amazing. Every dish was beautifully plated and tasted incredible. The scallops were perfectly seared, and the sashimi was fresh and expertly prepared. The drinks were also outstanding and complemented our meal perfectly.

The presentation deserves special mention - each course looked like a work of art with elegant plating and attention to detail. The birthday dessert arrived with a sparkler, making the celebration feel extra special.

If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine with excellent service in a private setting, Musume is an excellent choice. Highly recommend for special occasions or any time you want a memorable dining experience.

Note: our party of 8 had automatic gratuity added (which is expected )
