We love Pie Tap in the Design District. Before the Pandemic, we went often. We have done curbside since. Today when I called to change the online order I’d made the guy at the bar was so accommodating. Thanks for your great customer service and awesome pizza.

Pie Tap Pizza Workshop + Bar Frisco offers a lively dining environment with large portions and tasty food made from scratch. Highlights include their cinnamon rolls, sourdough, biscuits, and pizza dough. The food is all prepared in-house, and many reviews mention that the pizza dough is fermented, enhancing its flavor. While the pizza is good, some guests describe it as solid and enjoyable rather than life-changing. The restaurant has a good selection of drinks, including house drinks that appeal to younger guests and classic cocktails for older visitors. The wine list features typical options, and there’s no mention of a corking fee. Service is friendly and attentive, with staff like Michelle providing excellent care, especially during family gatherings or special nights out. The ambiance is lively and energetic, making it a fun spot for families, groups, or anyone who enjoys a buzzing atmosphere. Because many tables are shared, it can be noisy, so it’s best suited for those comfortable with a lively environment. Recent reviews highlight that the hummus is made from scratch and served with in-season vegetables and warm bread. Cocktails, especially those made by bartender Ignacio, are delicious. The staff are friendly and engaging, showing a genuine passion for the food. The pasta bolognese with wagyu beef is described as amazing and highly recommended. The restaurant also shows flexibility with special requests, such as substituting ingredients on pizza, and offers delicious side options like mushrooms and broccolini. Delivery orders have received praise for their delicious sourdough crust and timely arrival. Overall, Pie Tap remains a popular spot for pizza lovers and anyone seeking a casual, enjoyable dining experience, with many guests expressing their intent to return frequently.
